{Turtle's POV}
Turtle slept early the night before. According to most non-fiction books -(that his mother hasn't wrote)- sending yourself to slumber the night before a test would help your brain standards. He assumed it would be the same for the first day of the new academy's classes.
Imagine it doesn't work. Tomorrow you would be so smart and good at grades and awesome and make no mistakes and wonder why you even thought it wouldn't. You'd be like the heros you always wanted to be.
It definitely didn't work.
Turtle that next day tripped over the very noticeable robot vacuum, accidentally poured orange juice on his French toast instead of his glass cup, spilled water on his brand new pants, brushed teeth with his favourite peppermint soap, and to add to his bad morning, lost his glasses not once, not twice, but three times. (A/N Let's give some respect to Turtle please 👏👏)
Turtle tried to stay positive though. Wouldn't a proper hero would try to see the silver lining on every cloud? Wouldn't they had been through worse? These questions he asked himself many times.
Turtle faked a small smile at the large full body mirror in front of him. He had on some plain jeans that was kinda wet and a fancy shirt. Most Heros started out looking nerdy, sure. He scanned his body and look through his memories of those fiction books he read. Maybe. Turtle now squinted at himself. He looked like the messy brown haired version of Harry potter. Okay. Definitely not often.
Maybe instead of being the hero, the main action character, the all powerful angel from the heavens, Turtle could be perhaps the writer. The one son that his mother had who would follow her footsteps. Maybe he would inherit the business himself. Or at least be the writer of all the books to come.
Turtle's mother was Coral Rosewood, the CEO of the descended Pearl company. They selled perfume, makeup, jewelry (The specialty- Pearl anythings), and books written by Coral herself.
She expected, like any other popular companies, one her daughters would be the heir. Coral had 3 daughters alive (The mystery behind the deaths of her original daughters was solved but never told to Turtle himself) but 12 other sons. It didn't make much sense to other specialists why they didn't want one of her sons to get the company though. I mean, I wouldn't have been the worse CEO. It wouldn't be so bad. I would at least have kept the books up and running, Turtle had thought once.
