As Victoria finished the sandwich the animals made for her, I asked Mr. Shift what we were gonna do about our captured parents. "Well, I was hoping.... If you would approve it... We could go on a little quest to save them?" He asked me. "Yes! Definitely!" I yelled. I wanted to meet my real parents as soon as I can. And I didn't want them to be dead. "I'm in too." Victoria said with her mouth full. She finished the last piece and licked her fingers. "Ill be easy considering our powers." She said to no one in particular."Not exactly... " Mr. Shift said. " the man who has captured your parents also has super powers, so it won't be so easy." "What's his powers?" I asked. Maybe if he has lame powers, we could beat him. "Any kind of dark magic." Mr. Shift replied uneasily. "So like.... Controlling the dead and stuff? Like hades?" I asked. "Pretty much." Mr. Shift answered. That's just peachy. The one thing i'm afraid of is dead people. This is gonna be fun. "Is it just gonna be us?" Victoria asked. "Actually no." He said. "I have a son of my own, and he just got home today. Pres!" He called. A boy about me and Vic's age walked in. He has black hair and brown eyes and kinda looked like Mr. Shift. He smiled. "Uh.... Hi" he said. "Helllooo!" Victoria smiled. She's so open. He shook his hand. "I'm Victoria. That.." She pointed to me "is my twin sister Annette." I smiled and walked to where the two stood. I shook his hand and he smiled back. "Um.. Hi. I'm Preston." he said shyly. "Do you have powers?" Victoria asked. I kicked her. "What if he doesn't!?" I whispered. "Yup." He answered and I let out a small breath. I love Victoria, but sometimes..... "Uh.. Super speed." He said. Suddenly he was gone. I turned around, to see if he was there. He wasn't so I turned back around. He handed me a snow globe with a mountain in it."thanks for visiting Mount Everest" it read. "Wow...." I whispered. He wasn't even out of breath! "So are we gonna save your parents or what?" Mr Shift smiled.
