HEY GUYS :) !!!
Please don't kill me for not updating in forever.

Ezra: duh! Yeah they're gonna kill you! Do you have any idea how annoying it is when you don't finish a book!?

Uhh... yes but-

Ezra: no buts! Just update more often! And apologise to your incredible followers for being so patient, then maybe they won't kill you.

Good idea. Sorry fellow Wattpaders, for the long wait, but I hope this update will please you all :). Also, my inspiration for the story has returned for the new year and I will be updating once a week :).
So......

..... LET THE STORY CONTINUE!!! .....

Kanan's POV:

"Hera, do you think Ezra's been acting really strange all week?" I asked my wife as I once again started sipping my coffee.

"Dear, he doesn't know if his friends are okay, or if they're even alive, he's scared, just give him some space" Hera advised me.

"But the more space I give him the further away he moves from me!" I say, raising my voice a bit but quickly stop when Hera gives me a stern stare.

"Okay. Spill"

I sighed and placed my mug gently on the table. "Hera, you weren't there the other night, he was crying in his sleep. Crying for his mum and dad. It... its just soul crushing seeing him like that. He-he just sounded so helpless, which is the opposite from what he's usually like. I'm just... I'm just worried about him. He's just a kid" I concluded with a sigh.

Hera gave me a sad smile and sat on the chair opposite me, putting her hand on my arm. "Yes he's just a kid, but he's survived on the streets since he was seven, you've got to remember that. He's not going to accept help easily. And even though we'd never replace his parents, we can do our best to give him the love and support he deserves and desperately needs, otherwise he'll lose himself".

"I won't let him loose his way. Not like I did" I promised myself.

I smiled at my incredible wife and kissed her on the cheek.

"did I interrupt something?" A voice spoke and I couldn't help myself as a smile spread across my face.

"Chief Ahsoka" I greeted, standing up from where I was seated, to welcome my boss.

"Officer Jarrus, we need to talk" she frowned.

My smile faded as she spoke and I ushered her into the garden where we could speak.

"Kanan, I received word from other police stations that people have been stealing illegal weapons and selling them to other states"

"So what does this have to do with Ezra and the rebels?" I ask quietly.

"I have reason to believe that the rebels are the ones stealing them"

"Not the Imperials?" I ask shocked.

"No, but these weapons are dangerous, especially in the hands of Rebels, so just keep a close eye out for anything suspicious that Ezra could be doing"

"You don't think he's doing it. Do you?" I ask shocked.

"No, but if his friends were to contact him, I need to know, and you need to keep Ezra safe, no matter what" she finished.

"Of coarse Chief Ahsoka".

"Okay good. Now I must get back to the police station" she said with an expression that was entirely unreadable, as she started walking away, but suddenly stopped. "And Kanan? Tell Ezra that he shouldn't go looking for those who don't want to be found". And with that she left.

Ezra's POV
Unknown to the two officers, I was listening the whole thing.

"But they're my friends" i mumbled as i climbed back down off the roof and back through my window, sealing the window lock back in place as I closed it.

My breathing quickly picked up and head head started to spin. i quickly grabbed onto the bedside table to steady myself as the facts filled my head. "Ahsoka knows where they are! And she ordered Kanan to stop me from finding them!" My mind screamed at me.

Without so much as a second thought, I rushed to my cupboard and swung it open revealing my orange backpack, packed with everything I had when I came to live with the Jarrus'. No, it wasn't much, but it was all I needed.

"Just in case" I mumbled to myself and headed out of my room to prepare for the worst.

Hey again guys. Sorry for the short chapter but I'm just getting back into it again :)
