Runaan and Ethari, Raising Rayla

chapter 10

Runaan awoke to a massive crash sound outside his window. He sat up quickly. He looked over at Indigo.

It had turned out that Indigo's house did not have an extra room so he had to sleep on the floor in her room.

He got up, shoved on his boots and grabbed his blades from the bedside table. He tip toed down the stairs.

He opened the curtains in the kitchen and looked outside. His eyes were met with a massive explosion of firey red and orange flames colours. Once he adjusted to the bright lights, he noticed that there were a lot of Moonshadow Elves out in the streets with weapons. Fire surrounded them.

The Sunfire elves had attacked again.
Runaan opened the front door and ran out into the firey streets. He tripped over a burning stick but caught himself.

He took cover in an alley. His eyes were watering. It was too hot from all the flames. Then he heard a noise from behind him.

He turned quickly to see someone coming at him with 2 swords. Runaan hesitated and jumped out of the way just in time.

He drew his blades from their sheath and got in stance. He tilted his head.

The hooded figure stood up straight. He flipped one of the swords and got ready to fight.

Runaan smiled.

He jumped forward and tried to knock the hood down quickly but the shadow figure knocked one of his blades away.

Runaan growled. He jumped at the wall and landed on top of the figure. He pinned them down and tried to prise the swords out of the elf's hands.

He kneed on the elf's shin and took the swords away and threw them down the alley.

Runaan grinned widely.
"Now...who are you..?" He reached forward and pulled down the hood.

But he shrieked in shock.

"W..what..?"

"Ethari.....??"
