Yes, we're going back in time again to when they both met hehehehehe
TW btw-
Ethari, a 15 year old moonshadow elf hid in main hall of the training centre for young elf assassins. He didn't like participating in the activities. He much preferred to help out with the weapons. It was much more of his style. He sat on one of the benches in there, daydreaming while staring at a wall while everyone else was outside, fighting eachother in training. All of a sudden, he heard the door come crashing open. Ethari jumped out of his daydreaming world and hid behind a pillar.
One of the coaches had brought a student into the hall to give out to them for something they had done, it seemed.
"Runaan, I swear! It's always you! You have to obey the rules!! You cannot go off track and you cannot, under any circumstances make your own rules!!" The coach yelled loudly at the student, his voice echoing around the room.
"I can do what I fucking well want! It's a damn assassin course! I could do this myself at home if I wanted to!!" He yelled back. Ethari peaked out from behind the pillar. He saw, in front of the coach was a tall moonshadow elf. He had long white hair braided down past his shoulders and was holding 2 sharp swords in one hand. Ethari was fascinated. He kept listening.
"Watch your language! Right, i can't deal with you today. Stay in here for the rest of today's training session!!" The coach yelled, and marched out slamming the door.
"Fuck you!!" Runaan yelled back, sticking up the finger. He growled angrily and slumped down on a bench. Ethari stared at him, then he sneezed out of no where.
Runaan looked up, alerted. He drew the swords."Who's there?" He shouted. His voice echoed. Ethari revealed himself slowly.
Runaan's shoulders relaxed.
"Oh, it's just you. The weird kid." He said, rolling his eyes.
Ethari stared."Weird kid? What do you mean?" He asked.
"Well, you don't like doing the course. You just sit down all day and do nothing." Runaan scoffed rudely. Ethari's eyes watered slightly. From where Runaan was standing, he could see the tears welling. He sighed, frustrated."Okay I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." Runaan said, softer. Ethari wiped his eyes and took a deep breath.
There was a pause.
"Why are you in here? Why do you not like the training?" Runaan asked. Ethari looked up at him."I- well. I prefer making the weapons, instead of getting blood on my hands I guess."
Runaan shrugged.
"Yeah, that makes sense. My dad sent me here to get rid of me. He's an asshole." He said.Ethari looked into his eyes sadly.
"My mum told me that it'd do me good, toughen me up a bit," Ethari puffed out his chest a bit, but then kind of shrunk back.
"But I just don't like...killing. That much. If that...makes sense-" he held his arm.
Runaan smiled.
"Yeah. That's fine. I get it." He said. He sounded genuine. Ethari smiled back. They chatted for a long while, until they had to go home. Runaan waved goodbye.
"I'll see you tomorrow I guess..!"
Ethari waved back. He smiled to himself. He finally made a new friend!
