Chapter Five

Camri POV

"Oh my god Mommy, it's Camri!! It's the famous Camri!!" The little girl screamed.

"Yes baby, it is. Now shh, you're going to give everyone a head ache." Her mom said.

"Oh no she's not. She is adorable. May I ask your name little cutie?" I asked.

"Nevaeh." She said smiling and showing her big white teeth. This little girl is the definition of beautiful.

"Well Nevaeh, would you like to watch Dora on my iPad?" I asked.

"Yea please!" She said hopping next to me.

I got out my iPad and cut on Dora for her. I then gave her my Beats (Headphones) so we wouldnt hear it.

"Soooo, Hakeem introduce us to your friend." My mom said.

I just looked down at my phone. Im not interested in anything Hakeem has to say.

"Okay, umm. This is my girlfriend Heaven, and thats her daughter Nevaeh." He said.

Well atleast he replaced me with someone pretty. No need to be mad at her, she didnt fuck up.

I shook my hand out, "Hi, im Camri. Nice to meet you Heaven." I said.

She put her hand out and shook mine, "Nice to meet you too Camri." She said smiling.

"Camri, why dont you introduce .. your temporary play toy." My mom said.

"Stop being rude Mom, he's been nothing but nice to you." I said.

"Just introduce him." She said.

"This is my boyfriend Ben." I said.

"Nice to meet you" Ben said shaking Heaven's hand and dapping Hakeem's.

I tried not to acknowledge anyone's presence, but it was so hard considering the fact that my mom kept asking us questions. Just then the first song I wrote about Haleem, which also was my first song ever, 'I Run Away'came on the radio. It was awkward because everyone knew I wrote this song about Haleem, I said it on 106 & Park. The car ride was so awkward until Nevaeh started singing along with the song. I guess her Dora went off.

"Ooh mommy, this is my favorite song!" Nevaeh said nodded her head to the beat.

"Im glad you like it cutie." I said.

"Yeah, you're the best singer in the whole wide world Camri." She said smiling.

Aw, she made me blush. "Well thank you hunny bun!" I said smiling along with her.

This little girl is the sweetest. I wish I could just take her home with me.

Hakeem POV

I watched as my soon to be step-daughter sung my ex's song that was wrote about me. Man this is so crazy. Camri sitting here looking gorgeous as ever ..with her boyfriend. Im not suprised she has one though. I mean, I moved on so why shouldnt she? The weird thing is that after three years of not seeing her, she's still the same. I know she's not wild and exotic as her songs are, I know it. Camri can have fun but she's not like that. She's more of a Aaliyah than Rihanna. I dont understand why she hides her incredibile voice behind these songs. Its confusing. The rest of the car ride was awkward and silent
