(Song playing "To the Observatory Grounds")

The Grand Star guided Link and Mario to some sort of dark-looking open observatory with a very dim burgundy core in its center. The duo wondered what this place was as they landed on it, watching the Grand Star spin around faster and faster while surrounded by light, and plunge itself into the core. The core became bigger and brighter, turning orange in the process. The left side of the Observatory's first floor, which was an area with green fields and patches of flowers followed by a pathway made out of white and blue tiles that led to a dead end, and a metallic hexagonal platform on the other side of the green fields, had its lights back on. Finally, an orange pipe gets lit from the center, opening an entrance to the nearest dome that was made out of bricks with green grass covering the top of it.

(Song ends)

Mario: Oh...

Link: Huh interesting...but where are we? And why is this place so dark before?

(Song playing "Gateway Galaxy")

It was then that they looked up ahead, and could see Rosalina again as they decided to approach her. She was standing right in front of the bright core, along with a blackish-brown Luma with sky blue eyes right next to her.

Luma: The beacon is lit again! It shines weakly, maybe only as bright as a Class 6 star, but at least the poor Lumas will survive now.

Rosalina: Oh, thank you for saving the Grand Star. These star people are part of my family... They mean so much to me.

Mario: Part of your family?

Rosalina: Yes

Link: Okay, then... Now, what is this place?

Rosalina: The Comet Observatory. It's my home, and also home to the Lumas.

Polari: And you can call me Polari, Rosalina's most trusted advisor. I'm also one of the eldest Lumas in existence.

Mario: Pleased to meet you. So, what exactly caused the Observatory to go dark?

Rosalina: I'll start up from the very beginning. You see, we travel the starry skies. We pass by this area once every one hundred years, but we suddenly stopped in front of this planet.

Link: Hold on a second! Are you saying that this Observatory we're standing on is...

Rosalina: This Observatory is the very comet that both the Mushroom and Hyrule Kingdoms celebrate the arrival of during the Star Festival.

Link: So this is the true identity of the comet... This is something that Zelda really wanted to know about ever since she was little! If only she was here right now...

Mario: Mamma Mia...

Rosalina: A strange force had latched on to our ship, pulling away Star Bits and our power source, Power Stars. Our ship had lost power, so it entered a deep hibernation state in which it could not move. Those who took your special ones picked up the Power Stars... And discovered the power to cross the universe.
