Chapter 3: Help has arrived

After obtaining their first Power Star by defeating Dino Piranha, the duo arrived back at the Terrace and watched the Star fly off to someplace unknown.

Polari: Oh, you're back! And I see that you found your first Power Star! Now, there's something that you need to learn about before you go back to search for more Stars.

Link: Fire away

Polari: As you might know, those are Star Bits. To Lumas, they are the tastiest, most delectable treats imaginable. During your adventure, you might come across some Hungry Lumas that you must feed Star Bits to gain access to some Power Stars. Why don't you practice by feeding these Star Bits to me?

They nodded in response and proceeded to pick up the dropped Star Bits before feeding those to Polari by tossing them at him.

Polari: Mmmm, tasty! Let's call those little morsels my fee for this lesson. Either way, I am sure Star Bits will be a big help on your adventure!

Mario: Got it

(Song playing "Good Egg galaxy")

Mario: Time for some star bit collecting

They proceeded to head to the other side of the planet again, but this time they made sure to collect as many Star Bits as possible, either by after defeating enemies, getting them from meteor showers and searching in the grass and flower patches. Soon, they made it to the end of a twisted pathway on the tower where they met a blue Luma.

Luma: I've got a hungry friend up ahead, you don't mind sharing your snacks do you? The Luma said before transforming into a bunch of Pull Stars, leading the trio up to the Launch Star.

They were taken to the pear planet, where Link proceeded to cut through the Thorny Flowers, getting more Star Bits from them, while Mario broke a few crystals containing Star Bits inside. Then, they got into the next Launch Star to blast off to the rock planet... although Link accidentally activated the other Launch Star during their flight.

Link: NOT WHAT I MEANT TO DOOOO!

Mario: Oh boy...hope he's okay...Mario hoped as he collected more Star Bits, with breaking more Star Bit-encased crystals. After that, he found another Launch Star that took him to the egg planet and met up with Link.

Link: There you are. I believe I just found that Luma's hungry friend after I wandered around this planet.

Luma: Hey, you! Yeah, you! Got any tasty Star Bits? If you feed me a bunch of Star Bits, I'll burst with snacky happiness and then transform!

Link: Okay, how many do you need?

Luma: I'm famished! I need 100 Star Bits to curb the hunger pangs!

Link: A HUNDRED?!

Mario: That's nothing! We've got them. Mario said, and then they tossed their Star Bits at the Hungry Luma to feed it up, as it got chubbier and chubbier the more it ate. Eventually, they were done feeding the Hungry Luma, but their good throwing arms were sore after that.
