(Song playing "Memory 1" from Super Paper Mario)

Several days passed with no sight of the comet, or even a single planet as I and Luma traveled across space on our spaceship. Instead, asteroids extended for as far as the eye could see.

I felt my belly rumble, and I sighed, "If I had known it was going to take this long, I would have packed more jam."

"I just know my mama is still out there." Luma said, being persistent as ever while I was looking through all the essentials that we have packed up before we left: telescope, butterfly net, stuffed bunny, bread, milk, jam, apricot-flavored tea... and that's where I realized.

"I forgot to bring water!" I exclaimed in frustration. At this, Luma burst into gales of laugher as I pouted, "It's not funny!"

Luma then brought out some star-like shards in front of me; they're the Star Bits we know today. "As long as I have Star Bits, I'll be fine." he said. "Want some?" I couldn't stay mad after hearing this as Luma continued to laugh, and I couldn't help but join in.

"All right, maybe just a nibble." I said and took one of the Star Bits to eat it, leading my eyes to widen as how good it tasted. "Wow! It tastes like honey!"

"Then grab your net! We're getting more Star Bits from that Star Bit field!" Luma pointed over to it, and we set sail for it.

Leaning far out of the ship, I began to collect Star Bits with my butterfly net. They almost fell out a few times, but I kept on collecting. I thought it was amazing that I could actually gather some sort of food even while out in space, and it made me wonder what other things I could find out there during my journey...

(Song ends)

Rosalina: Oh that dream...I'm not normally like this...

(Song playing "To the Observatory grounds 2")

The group that just defeated Megaleg flew to the Observatory with the Grand Star and landed, where the Grand Star plunged into the beacon as it expanded a little while turning yellow. A blue pipe gets lit, opening the entrance to a new dome at the far left behind the Terrace. This one was made out of white tiles and colored blue and yellow on the top, while water was spouting from the sides.

(Song playing "Rosalina in the Observatory 1")

Rosalina: Ah, well done! You've rescued our second Grand Star. That ball of flame represents the power of the observatory. We call it the beacon. When you recover a Grand Star, a little Star Power will be restored, and the beacon will grow. The Comet Observatory can use that power to fly through the universe. Once all of the power is restored, we will even be able to fly to the center of the universe...
