Chapter nine

All nine of them found thier place on the sofa.
Y/n sat between Hongjoong and Mingi, mingi put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her close, making sure that Hongjoong won't lay his hands on her. Soon enough the movie started, they were watching a horror movie.
The guys expected her to be scared at the jumpscares, they didn't know that she loved horror movies though.

„Look at the killer!" she basically yelled while pointing at the TV. Hongjoong and Mingi looked at her with raised eyebrows. „What's with him?" they asked. „He's hot" she simply said, Mingi chuckled and shook his head, pulling her a little closer. She put her head on his shoulder, getting a little more comfortable.
Mingi smiled at himself when he felt her head on his shoulder.
Hongjoong however, didn't like what he was seeing.

The movie soon ended, making everyone gasp at the ending. „Seriously!? This can't be the ending!" Yunho said annoyed standing up and throwing his hands in the air.
He looked like a Highschool boy getting frustrated over a football game, Y/n chuckled at that thought and stood up. „Where are you going?" The eight of them asked her, making her turn around. „bathroom"  she quickly said and made her way upstairs.

A few minutes later she made her way out of the bathroom, only to be pushed back into it.
She looked at the person that pushed her back in and met eyes with Seonghwa. Her eyes widen in panic. He gently held her by her shoulders looking into her eyes. „Talk to me..please" he pleaded. „I know what Yunho showed you, I can't deny the things I did and still do but, what I can say..is that I won't hurt you." He searched for forgiveness in her eyes, but he only found panic, confusion and fear.

He let go of her shoulders and looked to the ground sighing. „Why do you do it?" Her voice barely a whisper. He looked up at her and held her hands, satisfied when she didn't pull away.
„It's my destiny, it's what I do. I kill and eat souls to stay alive Y/n. Plus it's fun" she understood the first part, it's so he stays alive and doesn't get killed off by his father.
But fun?

„Fun?..killing people shouldn't be considered fun Seonghwa." She harshly said before pushing him away and walking to the door.
He grabbed her arm and made her turn around. "For me it is. I can assure you the seven guys downstairs aren't any better. And always remember that I won't hurt you."
After that seonghwa let her go and she left the bathroom, walking downstairs. She entered the living room and saw only Hongjoong sitting there.

She sat down next to him, looking at his figure, his eyes were slightly closed maybe he's asleep? She thought only to be proven wrong by him locking his eyes with hers. "Where did everyone go?" She looked into his soft eyes, those eyes giving her comfort. "They went out to do something, we're demons after all." Seonghwa's words suddenly replayed in her head I can assure you that those seven guys downstairs aren't any better.

She quickly snapped out of her thoughts. „Yeah.."Hongjoong noticed the tone change in her voice.  He gently grabbed her cheek and made her look at him. "What's wrong princess?" Her heart skipped when she realized how close they were, backing up a little she just shrugged her shoulders.
"It's still so weird to live with demons, you guys act like normal human beings, all of you are so incredibly nice..and then again knowing that most or maybe even all of you kill people...it makes me feel scared.."

Hongjoong took her words in and nod.
"It is scary to a human like you, we know that...that's why we dont bring anyone here anymore. Before you moved here, we brought people in and killed them here..to your sake we stopped. But we have to kill in order to survive." Hongjoong explained to her, him now receiving the nod. He pulled her into a hug, stroking her head. "I will protect you. And I know that some of us will protect you too"
She wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her face in his neck.

Hongjoong pulled away from the hug and held her face close to his. His eyes going from hers to her lips every once in a while.
He decided that it was the right time, he pulled her even closer before placing his lips ontop of hers, engulfing her in a soft kiss. Y/n closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him back.

They didn't notice the seven other guys looking at them. Mingi, Yunho, Yeosang and Seonghwa in complete shock. Mingi and Yunho stormed upstairs to each of thier rooms.
"You two can make out later, Wooyoung and me want to watch a series." San said, slight jealousy in his voice. He didn't want to admit it but the human girl had a special place in his heart, they don't talk to each other, not a lot but he likes her slightly feisty side.

Hongjoong and Y/n quickly pulled away, a red blush of embarrassment plastered on her cheeks, meanwhile Hongjoong looked proud. Satisfied. He stood up and grabbed Y/n by her hands, making her stand up too. "Go upstairs, I'll be there In a few minutes" he whispered into her ear and she did as he said, walking out of the living room.

"Really? Already?" Seonghwa's annoyed voice didn't go unnoticed. Hongjoong smirked at the remaining five in front of him. "You're acting like you wouldn't want to kiss her." Seonghwa scoffed and made his way out of the house.
San and Wooyoung looked at each other and then back at Hongjoong. "You enjoyed it a little too much didn't you?" San said before sitting down on the sofa and turning on the TV. Wooyoung following him.

"How couldn't I? We all know that she does something to us, we're attracted to her. Even you two." Hongjoong pointed at the two guys sitting on the sofa, who only looked down a little embarrassed. "If you hurt her. You're dead" Yeosang growled at Hongjoong and walked upstairs. The only one left in front of Hongjoong was Jongho. "If father finds out that we're staying with a human, a girl. Which all seven of you are attracted to, he'll kill all of you off" Jongho stated, and received a nod from Hongjoong.

"You're right but all seven of us will fight for her and you know that." Hongjoong spat and walked upstairs towards Y/n 's room. Leaving Jongho shaking his head in disappointment.
He sat down with the other two on the sofa and slowly started to fall asleep.
