Chapter 11: Alone together

Today is the day that Izana is leaving, Rindou is watching by the door as you hug Izana before he leaves. Izana looked at Rindou and nodded and Rindou did the same. Ran waved to his younger brother and he did the same, they smiled at each other before Rindou walked back inside.

"One last kiss before you go?..." You pleaded.

"Of course." Izana replied before pulling you close and kissing you.

"Be careful okay? I'll be waiting for you and don't take too long." You said before Izana closed the door.

I watched Izana's car disappear from the distance along with the other's. As soon as they're gone, I walked back inside and locked the door for safety, I sat down the couch and turned the tv on.

"What are you watching?" Rindou asked.

"Just a horror movie, it's my favorite." You replied.

"May I? I'm curious about this movie." Rindou asked pointing beside you.

"Yeah, sure. Movies are better when watching it with someone." You said.

"I'll go grab a blanket first cause it's so cold in this room." Rindou said and went upstairs.

"Hurry up before you miss the best part." You screamed as he runs upstairs.

"I'm back, did I miss it?" Rindou asked panting heavily.

"Not yet. Come here sit with me." You said patting the space beside you.

"Here's your blanket. Do you want some snacks too?" Rindou asked after giving you the blanket.

"No stay here for now, I don't wanna be alone on the best part!" You said and pulled his blanket dragging him with it.

"Woah, okay, I guess you really like thi-" Rindou couldn't finish his sentence as he hears your scream and felt your arm wrapping around his body.

It was a moment of you screaming and Rindou enjoying the warmth of your embrace. He didn't dare say a word that could make you realize how tight your arms are wrapping around him. The best part has ended and there was a minute of silent before you realised where your arms are wrapped around. You quickly let go and cleared your throat before standing up.

"I'll go get some snacks... S-stay there alright?" You said and went to the kitchen.

Rindou did stay at the living room waiting for you. He couldn't stop thinking about your warmth, your voice, your smell and how you would bury your face to his chest before screaming because you were so scared of the ghost.

"Here are the snacks." You said placing a whole box of cookies.

There was another moment of silence as I realize I forgot the drinks. I was about to go back to the kitchen when Rindou grabbed my wrist and stood up.

"I'll get the drinks, why don't you pick the next movie we're going to watch?" Rindou said before walking towards the kitchen.

"Oh... Sure." You sat down and began to scroll through the choices of movies.

I couldn't see any good horror movies anymore so I just looked for a comedy but all I could find was a Rom-Com so I tried it. Nothing could go wrong.

"I forgot to ask, what's your favorite juice?" Rindou asked peeking from the kitchen door.

"Grape or strawberry would be fine." You replied.

You pressed the movie you chose and a few seconds later Rindou came back with the drinks. He sat down beside you as you both watched the movie. During the time that you were both watching the movie, you would laugh, blush and even get mad at how blind the main character is but in the end Rindou had to spend a whole hour trying to stop you from crying as you found out that the only reason the main character ignored the signs that the girl was giving is because he doesn't want to hurt her as he only had a few months left to live. You cried for so long until you fell asleep crying, and Rindou had to carry you to your room. Since Rindou doesn't want to scare you, waking up beside him, he slept at the couch near your bed just to make sure no one tries to break into your room. Rindou closed his eyes and thought about everything that happened tonight until he himself falls asleep.
