Aurora's House in LondonAs soon as Aurora heard about the accusations against James she sped home and may have broken multiple laws to get to her house as fast as possible.
Aurora immediately called James from a secure line.
"James, where are you?" Aurora asked quickly when James picked up the phone. "Out in the market why?" James asked. "You need to go back to the apartment right now and leave Bucharest immediately," Aurora told him. "James, can you hear me?" Aurora asked when James didn't reply.
"Aurora I didn't do this," James replied. "I know you didn't but some people think you did so you need to leave right away. Okay?" Aurora told him. "Okay," James responded. "Stay on the phone with me. I'm tracking your location right now and checking everything to make sure you're safe." Aurora told him.
Her computer was open in front of her and she could see where Bucky was and had eyes on everything from her second computer which had access to all of the security cameras in the city.
"Steve and Sam are in the city. They're waiting for you. The German special forces are also arriving to take you in. I don't think you should go back to the apartment." Aurora warned him as James got closer to the apartment.
"I need to go to the apartment," James said determinedly. "This will turn into a fight," Aurora told him. "I know it will," James replied.
"Okay James go to my workshop first I have Coms in there. Nobody will be able to hear me except you. Once you turn them on hang up the phone." Aurora told him. "Okay, I have the coms. Ending the call." James said and the call ended.
"James, can you hear me?" Aurora said after putting on the same pair of Coms in her ear. "Yes. I'm going into the building now." James told her. "Find a way to keep the phone on you. I can track you when you have it." Aurora told him. But James didn't reply.
She could see him walking up the stairs through security cameras. "Someone is in the apartment. It's Steve." Aurora said warning James.
"The German special forces are approaching from the south," Aurora said.
A minute later James was in the apartment and Steve hadn't realized he was there.
Steve slowly turned around and saw Bucky staring at him.
"Do you know me?" Steve asked. Aurora could hear his voice faintly through the coms. "You're Steve," James responded after a second. "I read about you in a museum," James added. He didn't give up the fact that Aurora was still alive.
"The German forces have set a perimeter outside. Make this as quick as you can." Aurora told him quietly.
"I know you're nervous, and you have plenty of reason to be. But you're lying." Steve accused. "I wasn't in Vienna. I don't do that anymore." James said defending himself.
"James you gotta hurry up they're entering the building," Aurora warned.
"Well, the people who think you did are coming here now. And they're not planning on taking you alive." Steve told him. "That's smart. Good strategy." James said.
"James they're on the roof. Get out now." Aurora said urgently.
"This doesn't have to end in a fight Buck," Steve said. "It always ends in a fight," James said with a sigh. "Be alert. You have 5 seconds." Aurora told him. "You pulled me from the river. Why?" Steve asked as Bucky pulled his glove off to reveal his metal hand.
"I don't know," James responded. "Yes, you do," Steve said.
But before James could reply a grenade flew in through the window and a fight started.
Aurora could hear the sounds of the fight through the comms and tried to help Bucky here and there but he seemed to have it under control until a man in a black catsuit showed up.
"James you're surrounded. There's no way to escape this." Aurora said with a grimace. "Don't worry I got this," James muttered and Aurora could hear the sound of a motorcycle revving.
All Aurora could hear was the sound of Bucky on his motorcycle then a loud explosion and finally the sound of crashing. "James, are you okay?" Aurora asked panicked. "Fine," James grumbled standing up after the man in the catsuit nicked the motorcycle he was on.
She heard the loud thud and the sound of repulsors being turned on. Then Aurora heard the voice of someone she wasn't expecting to hear. James Rhodes.
"Oh fuck." Aurora mumbled. "James don't worry I'm coming to your location," Aurora told him. James didn't reply but that was expected.
Surprisingly the fools hadn't noticed James' com so Aurora could still track him and talk to him if needed but she didn't. She didn't want to take any chances. Apparently, James was being held in Berlin so that's where she would go.
...
"What's gonna happen to him?" Steve asked as he watched Bucky get carried away in his little pod. "Same thing that ought to happen to you. Psychological evaluation and extradition." A grey-headed man answered.
"This is Everett Ross, Deputy Task Force Commander," Sharon said introducing the man to Steve.
"What about our Lawyer?" Steve asked already thinking of a certain brunette he met earlier. "Lawyer. That's funny. See their weapons are placed in lock-up. Oh, we'll write you a receipt." Ross told them.
"You'll be provided with an office and not a cell. Now, do me a favour, stay in it?" Ross told T'challa after he finished talking to Steve.
A little later while Steve and Tony were arguing, Natasha decided to pay T'challa a visit.
"So I guess when you said you'd do it yourself you meant you'd do it yourself," Natasha said walking in and sitting down on the arm of a chair opposite T'Challa. "You're not used to the truth are you?" T'Challa said looking at the women.
"I got a look at your suit. Vibranium weave. I'm very impressed. You realize this puts you under the accord's jurisdiction." Natasha told him. "How long do your psychological evaluations usually take?" T'Challa asked unimpressed. "Why? You bored?" She asked raising an eyebrow.
"Not currently. Barnes is working with someone." T'Challa said. "What?" Natasha asked growing confused. "When I knocked him off the motorcycle my vibranium-weaved suit picked up some sound coming from a comm that was in Barnes's ear," T'Challa told her.
"Do you know who it is?" Natasha asked standing up. "No. But you do." T'Challa said. He started typing away on his phone then an audio clip started playing.
"James you're surrounded. There's no way to escape this."
"James, are you okay?"
"Oh fuck."
"James don't worry I'm coming to your location,"
Natasha could recognize that voice from anywhere.
"That's impossible. She's dead." Natasha argued.
"That's what we all thought. I had some people do more research but I'm sorry to tell you Aurora Stark has been seen multiple times since her 'death'." T'Challa told the redhead who was still processing the information she was being told.
"Aurora Stark is still very alive."
