Chapter 2

It was amazing, watching the island from an altitude. The perfect breeze against your face. You looked around, seeing the shoreline, people playing volleyball, this island is great! You looked around a thought a cool idea. You tapped Tails. "Hey Tails?" You said, "Yeah? Everything alright?" He replied. "Could you maybe do some.. Tricks?" You eagerly said. "Oh.." The fox replied. You started to sulk back into your seat. "Of course I can!" He said. You immediately got joyful. "Yay! Lets do it!" You said.

Tails got ready, accelerated and turned the plane upside down in an aileron roll. You put your hands up, it was thrilling! You see the ground perfectly, and people now gazing at the plane doing tricks. Before long, tails put the plane back in its regular position. You were squealing with joy. "Again! Again!" You were practically shaking Tails for another trick. "Okay! Okay!" He chuckled. In a matter of seconds, you were going straight up, feeling the g-force pressing against you, then back to regular position. You were laughing at how fun the experience was. But slowly you came back down, and hit an airfield in Seaside Coast, right in front of what seemed to be Tails' house. It was a nice, single-story hut with a workshop to the right of it. And a main plaza in the middle of the property, Tails parked the airplane and got out. "Come on, Y/N!" Tails said. You jumped off the plane and remembered. "Oh! Tails, I can help you with that fuel if you want." The fox turned back, "Oh yeah! I forgot! Okay, show me what you have to do."

"I don't believe it.." Tails said, completely shocked. "How could you turn vegetable oil into plane fuel?" he questioned. "It's a steady process, evaporation, regaining the condensation.. Really complicated stuff." You replied. "Sure is, I'll keep using your recipe, the plane seems to work even better with it!" The fox replied. "Anywho, we should probably get to putting those groceries away." He said. Your eyes went wide open, you didn't hold onto your groceries. You looked down and saw all of your groceries, safe and sound. "Silly! You should know if you spin really fast nothing falls, right!" Tails teased. You breathed a sigh of relief and followed him into his house. You walked in, and saw the living room in front of you, a kitchen to the left of you, and a bamboo closet. "Yea.. I know it seems really cramped but It's the perfect size for me!"  Tails said. You went into the kitchen and put your groceries into the fridge, then sit down on the couch. Tails took out his phone and sent out a message for everyone to come to his place. A few seconds later, a blue hedgehog came through the door. "Wassup buddy?" He said to Tails. You audibly gasped. The hedgehog looked towards you. "Hey Tails, who's this huh?" Tails' face went pale. "Sonic!! Don't make jokes like that!!" Tails said, obviously embarrassed. "Oh relax, buddy. I was just joking! But seriously, who is she?" The blue hedgehog asked. "Uhm, are you-" You tried to ask. "Sonic! The name's Sonic." He said before reaching his hand out to you. "Y-Y/N.." You said. You were actually meeting the blue blur you never cared about before. So much for being bored, huh. "Hey, I just want to thank you for saving the island, Sonic." You said to him. "My pleasure! Just making it a better place, ya know?" Sonic said. After that, 3 people arrived. A pink hedgehog, a brown badger, and an echidna. "Oh! Hey guys, this is my friend Y/N!" Tails said. They all came up and shook my hand.

"Hi! My name's Knuckles, nice to meet ya!" His grip almost crushed my hand.

"I'm Amy Rose, welcome!" She was very polite, but then she ended up going straight to Sonic.

The badger grabbed me. "Hmm.." She inspected me. "What are you doing?" You asked. "Just making sure you aren't wearing a wire or anything for Eggman.

Right. Eggman. The terrorizer of the island. I tried to not take any notice of him, but Tails grabbed her off of me. "And that's Sticks." Tails said while glaring at her. He helped me up and made sure I was okay. You got to admit, it was nice having someone help you up. It made your cheeks a bit rosy, but Tails paid no attention. He got some juice from the kitchen and got everyone situated. It was gonna be fun today!
