Chapter 3

It is dusk, everybody is inside the house having fun, but you noticed Tails was gone, so you go outside to find him.

You sighed, you didn't notice that Tails left, but now you just did. You go up to Sonic and ask, "Have you seen Tails?" "Oh, I think he went outside to make a new robot, you can go check it out." He replied. You went outside and noticed the cool breeze and waves crashing. It was that time of day where it was at sunset, and the sky was pink, purple, and yellow, with a hint of grey clouds. There was no storm coming, just nature's beauty. You decided to let Tails have some time alone, so you went to the dock where it was above the sand. You relaxed and closed your eyes as the waves crashed together, then receded back into the ocean. "Y/N? You alright?" You could hear Tails say.

"Yeah, just enjoying the sunset." You replied. "Mmhm, it sure is a beautiful thing, eh?" Tails said as he stood next to you. Something about him made your cheeks a perfect rose color. Tails looked at you. "Your cheeks are a little rosy, you alright?" You shook your head then replied with a simple "Yes." Those few seconds felt like hours. You couldn't have a crush on him.. It would just end in heartbreak. You thought that before he put his hand on your shoulder. "Please tell me." He said in reassurance. You couldn't say anything to him, you just got a little closer to him, feeling his fluffy skin. "I sometimes just feel like I'm just backup. Sonic gets all the credit, even though I make all the tools." Tails said. "Maybe you should talk to him about it." You said. "Y/N.. It would be embarrassing." Tails said. "I see." You said. You moved your hand so you could feel his tails, they were so soft. "I know they're fluffy, Y/N!" Tails said with a chuckle. You immediately scooted away, hiding your face. "Oh cmon, I won't bite! You can touch them." Tails said, scooting to you. "Okay.." You said, and you felt his tails again. This time he started wagging them. And he looked at you. "Why do you want to feel my tails!" Tails said. "They're fluffy!" You said while practically petting just his tails. Tails gently moved your hand and brought you in closer to him. "Y/N, tell me what you want to say." Tails said with a cute smile. You looked away for a moment then back to him. "I.." You could spurt out. "Spit it out!" Tails said cutely. "I really like you, okay! and I know we just met but you're really cute!" You finally said before shutting your eyes tightly. "Y/N." Tails said reassuringly. You opened your eyes and looked at him, he had puppy dog eyes looking at you with a smile. "You made a fuel that I didn't know how to create. We have a lot in common and you like robots also! In fact.." Tails said before a pause. "I think I love you." You were speechless. Nobody ever complimented you like that before.

He slowly brought your head in and kissed you straight on the lips. Both of your eyes were closed. You let him slip his tongue in and didn't stop until you needed air. While gasping, Tails said. "Y/N, does this mean we're.." "Yes!" You replied. You hugged him tightly. You guys looked back and saw your friends start to leave. You said goodbye to them, got numbers, and headed back inside.

You were cleaning up messes when you felt two hands on your shoulder blades and massage. You were exerting yourself all day by dancing, you needed that. You started purring and moved back into Tails' chest. "Looks like you needed one, huh Y/N?" You moved away, all relaxed with a simple "Mmhm." You unrolled the couch into a bed and relaxed. Until you felt Tails next to you. You turned around and before you could say anything, he started tickling you.

You started squealing, trying to wiggle out, but he just brought you back to tickle you more. You tried kicking, but he got on top of you. "Oh no you don't! You won't escape the tickle monster, Y/N!" Tails said. He only stopped when he saw you couldn't breathe and was chuckling when you were trying to beat him up. "You jerk!!" You yelled playfully. "Looks like someone was overdue for their tickles, hm?" He said, laughing. Before he could get another word, you started kissing him ferociously, and hugged him tightly.
