Kakashi was pleasantly sore and aching.
He could feel the last of his heat ebbing away. The bed was warm and soft, blankets cuddled in around him, securing him in place. Kakashi didn't want to leave his temporary nest. It was comfy, but he did need to begin plotting how to escape.
His Omega was happy, but Kakashi was not.
Okay, yes, Mr. Kidnapper had been amazing. Kakashi might not remember much of his heat, but he knew that much. Kakashi hadn't felt this great in a long time. If he could get away with it he'd happily bask in the comfort.
But he was a jonin of Konoha. He needed to return home and report what happened. How the mission had failed, how Kumo had ambushed them and tried to take him. How he couldn't fight them off and that his temporary ANBU squad died because of it.
Also, Izumi would have set Naruto on fire by now. By the Sage, Sakura, Sasuke and Izumi probably cooked the poor boy and ate him for lunch in some barbaric ritual. Okay, yes, he might be exaggerating slightly, but that doesn't mean Naruto's ass or hair wasn't on fire because he pissed off the lone female Uchiha.
The problem was, every time Kakashi tried to escape, Mr. Kidnapper would catch him. The teleporting jutsu he had was a nuisance, and Kakashi's Omega was just as problematic. Mr. Kidnapper would immediately have Kakashi back in bed, kissing him senseless and nipping at Kakashi's scent gland warningly. So of course Kakashi's Omega grew obedient, submitting to the pleasure filling his gland and rushing through his body, sending pleasant tingles down his spine.
It was frustrating.
A kiss to the back of his neck broke him from his thoughts.
"Plotting an escape attempt?" Mr. Kidnapper murmured against his neck, coiling up against him, hands running smoothly across his skin.
Kakashi leaned into the touch. "Maybe?"
He gasped at the careful bite to his scent gland. Mr. Kidnapper growled lowly into his neck, making Kakashi whine and squirm.
"Not yet," Mr. Kidnapper grumbled. "You're staying here until I say so."
Kakashi huffed. "You're a possessive Alpha. We may have bonded, but it doesn't give you a right to control me. You aren't my mate."
"Mates shouldn't control each other anyway," Mr. Kidnapper scolded. "It's a partnership of equals."
Kakashi frowned. "That's not really taught in most places anymore. Especially since Konoha lost so many of its Omegas during the war."
Mr. Kidnapper scoffed. "Is that what they say? 'Lost'? Ha! They used their Betas as meat shields and their Omegas as bait. I'm only surprised Konoha isn't just filled with Alphas and no more."
"What do you mean 'meat shields'-" Kakashi protested.
Mr. Kidnapper sneered. "Think about it. How many Betas do you know in Konoha? How many Betas who used to be in your little school classes actually survived the wars?"
Kakashi shivered.
Possibly one or two in his class.
A dark, ugly scent escaped Mr. Kidnapper. It was thick and overbearing, flooding the room and Kakashi flinched at the murderous intent. Suddenly hands gripped his hips and Kakashi was dragged up to straddle Mr. Kidnapper, the blankets barely covering him anymore. A shiver ran down his spine as the sudden cool air brushed against his skin. But his kidnapper's scent distracted him.
It was smothering him-
Mr. Kidnapper bit down on his scent gland and Kakashi quivered in his grasp, whimpering. His mind growing foggy. His Omega eased out all his muscles, forcing him to relax, and Kakashi couldn't help but nuzzle the Alpha, trying to sooth him.
