Rose's Shadow (Shadamy)

Chapter Nine

A/N! TOTALLY FORGOT TO PUBLISH THIS CHAPTER! SORRY!

It doesn't really effect much, but I still liked it in this order. Sorry. This is nine.

3rd Person.

"It's about my dream." Amy said.

"Yeah? What was it about?" Tikal asked, handing Amy a towel.

"I was in a dark room. Well, I'm not even sure if it was a room. Some place with eternal darkness. Or was I even in a place? oh well. I was standing, alone at first, but then two lights came on, both revealing two other hedgehogs that I know. Shadow a sonic. I'm positive they were one I the people who broke in earlier.

"I wasn't sure what to do, but I felt like I had to make a choice. They then began calling me by the names they liked calling me by. You know, sonic calling me Amy, and shadow calling me rose." Tikal nodded, understanding.

"Do you know what it's means?" Amy asked.

"Well, that depends. Do you have certain feelings for them?"

Amy raised her eyebrow, and said, "what, like love?" she giggle, and so did Tikal.

"Well, yes, if you choose. It could also be loyal and many other things, but this is your choice."

Amy ponders for a moment. "Well, they're both pretty loyal, but for the love thing...i don't know. I mean, Ive had a crush on sonic forever, but shadow's the one who's been there-for when sonic turns me down. But do you know what the dream meant?"

Tikal thought, then said, "well, I believe it was a dream of choice, and yours was choosing your lover."

"My what? no, that can't be. Plus I didn't even choose. You guys woke me up, remember?"

"Oh, right," Tikal rubbed the back of her with an apologetic look on her face. The then went to a normal expression, and said, "well, if you ask me, from the description you gave me, I think this shadow guy's the one. You said he's always been there for you when sonic would turn you down. Seems pretty clear. Sonic doesn't want you, but shadow might be an option. That's what I have to say, but I'm not you. This is your choice to make."

"Oh..." Amy said, looking down. "I guess that is, isn't it?"

It was quiet, but after about two heartbeats later, Tikal offered to get Amy dressed. Amy agreed, and she put her clothes on.

That nap did give her some of her strength back.

Tikal began to open the door, but Amy told her, "Wait."

Tikal only managed to turn the knob, but stopped herself from pushing the door. "What is it, Amy?" she asked.

"I...I don't..." Amy looked scared, and Tikal grew an understanding expression.

"You don't want to be trapped again," Tikal finished. Amy didn't say anything, nor did she change her expression. Tikal let go of the door knob, and placed both hands on Amy's shoulders, despite that she was a couple inches shorter than her. "Look, Amy, judging by Scourge's reaction last time he saw you, I don't think you have to worry. I'm sure you won't be in chains again, and let you have a little more freedom."

"But how do you know that? what makes you so ire he won't chain me up a tou-" Amy stopped herself. She didn't want to be touched by that sickening monster again. The way he stroked his hands all over her only made her scared, an thinking of it again only made it worse. She didn't want that again. All she wan was for shadow and sonic and everyone to be here and save her. She hates being the damsel in distress, that's why she stopped trying to impress sonic by defeating villains. That's why she moved on and tried to live a life at her apartment. That's why she's looks for jobs at her free time. So she wouldn't risk becoming the damsel in distress. So she wouldn't have to be scared like this.

Amy began to slightly shake, but stoop when Tikal hugged her. "It'll be okay." She assure her. "If you need me, just call. Ill come in as soon as possible."

Tikal broke the hug, and looked into Amy's green eyes. "It'll be okay."

Amy seemed to calm down, and slightly nodded her head. Tikal grabbed the knob and turned it. Soon, they were out the door, and walked toward the room.
