Amy POV
I sat on the bed of the room I was chained in. It was a normal room, just with chains attached the ceiling next to me. I didn't want to lay down, because I didn't want to make it seem like I was getting comfortable and situated here. I'm not. I know everyone is going to get me. They tried once and they will try again. I know they will.
I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the door open.
I looked up at the door. Scourge had a nervous look on his face, as if he was scared of me. Not terrified, but like I would slap him - which I probably am.
He slowly approached me. I scooted back, and then he froze. "Do you mind?" he asked in a nice manner. He motioned his hand toward the bed, asking if he could sit. At least...I'm hoping that's what he's asking.
I just gave him a cold stare. He knew I didn't want him to. I didn't even want to be in the same room with him. The way he touched me... what he whispered to me, you better get used to this. Those words had been echoing through my brain ever since he spoke them.
Scourge let out a sigh, and grabbed a chair by the corner of the room. He pulled up closer - to the distance he was standing before - and sat down in it. "Look, Amy, baby-"
"I said don't call me that!" I cut him off.
He held up both hands. "Alright. Okay. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. It just slipped."
"Slipped?" I asked angrily. "You saying it was out of habit? do you call every girl that?!" I was in complete rage. How many girls did he take? Kidnap, and forced to be treated this way?
"No, I didn't say that. Look, I'm sorry, okay? i'll stop." Scourge seemed to have a slight annoyance in his tone, but not much. Just enough to make me stop.
He put his hands down and looked to the ground. He looked at me when I spoke.
"Why are you here?" I asked, leaning back on the backboard of the bed (whatever that things called.)
"Uh, I live here?"
"You know what I mean." He knew exactly what I meant.
Why was he in my presence?
Scourge let out a sigh. "I just wanted to check up in you. You could've drowned, and I...I didn't want you to die..."
It seemed like he could cry any second. I actually felt...sorry for him.
"Look," he said. "I'll leave if you're alright."
"I'm fine." I said angrily.
"Alright," he led up both hands again. "I am leaving as promised."
As he walked out, I stopped him by saying his name. He froze as he held the door, one foot was out the door.
I was hesitant, but then I asked, "Why are you being so nice to me?"
"You know," he was now looking at me, "I may be a screw up, and do things that I regret doing the moment I stop, but that doesn't mean I'm that terrible a guy." His eyes seemed gentle, comforting, relaxing as he said that, but also...sad.
He walked out, the door creeping as his did.
Did he regret saying those words to me? Touching me that way? Was he really a better guy than that.
When the door shut, I was in darkness again.
I lied down in the bed. It was just me, and my thoughts.
It's time to make since of this scourge guy.
