Fifteen

Shadows POV

Faker didn't seem to be doing anything other than tick me off.

I clenched my fist so hard, it began to tremble. I grabbed it with my other hand, trying to control it, but I couldn't help it. 

I stood up, making Sally worried. "No, Shadow, please."

"No what?! No, shadow, don't pound him in the face!? Don't beat the crap out of him for not only not telling us, but for leaving you alone to raise them?! Don't make him regret competing against me for another girl just to do the same to her!? I don't think so!" I was surprised that I yelled at her, but what can I say? Faker deserved this.

Sally grabbed my hand. "Shadow, it's not like he was the only one apart of this. I was there too when Sonia and Manik were born." Her grip hardened on mine. "Shadow, please." Tears were threatening to pour.

I let out a long, aggravated sigh. I stood there for a moment to think. Maybe everything isn't solved with a pound in the face.

I looked at Sally in her blue eyes, worry consuming her as she pleaded me not to go. "Look, I know this may look bad for Sonic, but-"

"Bad? This is more than just bad! This is-"

"Shadow, just listen, dang it!" Her words surprised me. Her tone surprised me. I stayed silent so I can hear what more she had to say. "Sonic wasn't ready to be a father, and I wasn't ready to be a mother. We were both just kids. Neither of us were mature enough to raise either of them. That's why I had a friend of mine watch over them. Something happened, and now they're in my care again, but I haven't the slightest clue on what to do. I didn't know who else to come to. I thought that maybe he'd be more understanding, but I guess not." Her anger turned to disappointment."Dang, and I really don't know who else to go to. Well, it's my problem I guess. No sense in spilling out everything to you." She wiped the last of her tears and stood up. I followed. "Well, thank you for the help. I better hurry home before Sonia and Manik wake up from their nap - if they haven't already that is."

What' with the sudden optimism? "Are they by themselves?"

"What kind of mother would leave two children alone in a place with possible danger?"

"I'm sorry. I was just curious."

"For your information, my friend from before is watching them as we speak." She crossed her arms and looked aggrieved.

So much for the positive side of her. "I thought something happened and he couldn't watch them anymore?"

"She."

"What?"

"You said he. My friend's a girl."

"Oh. Well then I thought something happened and she couldn't watch them."

"It's complicated. If I get a chance, I'll explain later, but I really gotta go." Before I can say anything, she hugged me, only it wasn't just a hug. This hug had meaning. I hugged her back, mine not being as sincere. "Thank you Shadow. Thank you so much."

Thank you for what? For bringing you to a worthless lowlife who can't do something good for once? No problem."

She broke the hug, and looked at me in the eyes. "Well, bye I guess."

"Don't think your going to be gone for a long time. Stay in town. I'm sure we can figure something out to help you with your kids. Ive got griends who probably wouldnt mind lending a hand either." Friends. Never thought of them like that before.

"Wouldn't that be too much to ask? I mean, you just met me. I hardly know you guys and it's been an eternity since I've seen Sonic. I've seen what he's turned to be, and I don't want to make him even more upset about this."

"Look. Sonic's just going to have to deal with the fact that he's a father. It's wrong to just up and abandon a family."

"That's true, I guess...well, if you ever need more or anything, I'm staying in a hotel right around the corner of this diner. I wanna say it was called Moby's Diner? Somewhere along the lines of that." That's the place Amy and I ate after she and Sonic got in that fight. "Well, see ya." She smiled and waved before she walked to the door and left.

That's when there was a loud thump coming from downstairs.

I let out a hopeless sigh as I thought, 'What's wrong with him this time?'

Haha....hey guys....t's been awhile. How are things going? ...haha, yeah, I'm horrible. I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a while. I haven't updated any of my stories in a while. I've completely abandoned you guys, and I'm sorry for that. School's just been a real pain, and I haven't had time to do crap lately. I completely understand if you guys hate me for this. It's been 3/4's of a year since you've last heard from me. Well, I hope you guess like this chapter. Don't forget to comment and vote. I love you all. Bye.
