Sonic's POV

My right leg was bouncing. The wait was killing me.

I looked at the clock.

4:58

Tails said to at least wait till sunrise. So that's what in doing the moment I see that sun, I'm out. Ill be running, ill be free. Free once again. Then I won't be holding anyone back.

4:59

One more minute. That's all. The sun will rise at five in the morning. I've seen it plenty of times before to know what time it does. Just. One. More.

5:00

The sun blazed trough the windows, through the blinds, shined on the curtain. The instant I saw the light hit the floor, I was out. The door flew open, and I was running.

I waiting all night for this. I waited days for this. My leg was back. I was free. I was running again.

The wind from my speed whipped through my quills. The cooling sensation of the air covering me was all I could ask for.

I ran around town for hours, though it felt like eternity. I couldn't stop. I'll never stop. I won't stop.

But Amy...

I skidded to a stop. I have to save Amy. I have to go back, get the others, and well all save her. We'll take her back together. But she'll be in my arms, and not that chaos emerald cheater for a hedgehog. I don't need any of that to save Amy.

I ran back to tail's place, but when I stopped, the door was already open. I saw shadow there, but the mammal next to him...Sally?!

"No way..." I whispered to myself. I opened the door wider, it making a small creaking noise. When everybody turned around to look at me, I saw the squirrel face. "Sally Acorn." I said, crossing my arms.

"Sonic the hedgehog." She smiled, revealing white, shining teeth. "Finally." She approached me, still smiling. "You have no idea how long I've been looking for you."

"Why were you looking for me? we broke up, like, how many years ago? three? four?"

"Three. I counted." She still smiled, but ave me a huge hug. She squeezed me and shook me side to side. "Oh, have I missed you!"

"Hey!" I yelled. "Enough with the hugging! Please!" she set me down. She seemed excited. Too excited, especially to be seeing her ex.

"You have to come with me!" she exclaimed, holding both my hands, her expression now serious.

"Woah woah woah, I'm not going anywhere. You, on the other hand, new to leave!"

"Sonic!' cream yelled. "That is no way to treat a guest! ex or not, she came all the way to see you!"

"Yes, I understand this, but she can't just come here, squeeze me to death, and expect me to leave with her! we broke up for a reason, and I don't want to leave, especially when Amy's missing!"

"I understand this, but she didn't do anything!" cream began to get angry, and tails gently squeezed his arm that was already wrapped around her. She sighed, and calmed herself down.

"Listen, sonic, I know your angry with all this, but I don't understand why. What made you angry by seeing Sally?" tails asked.

"Look, I can see this was a bad idea. I probably should be leaving." Sally suggested, walked toward the door. Before she could walk out, shadow gently grabbed her shoulder.

"No," he said. "Faker here is just deciding to be a little jerk is all. You can stay. The one who needs to be leaving is him." He gave me a cold stare. I returned it, and walked out the door.

When I was out, I felt a sharp pain throughout my body.

I gasped and let out a yell. I collapsed to the ground, and then everything went black.
