Metal against metal and the scent of iron in the air. Grunts and pants, tired limbs and ashen clouds of dust swirling around the two figures. One was limping, the other one was smiling. Wrecked with exhaustion, you fell onto your knees, sweat dribbling onto the cracked grounds.

"That all you got?" he spat, golden irises vicious and taunting. You didn't answer, your throat parched. In two quick strides, he reached your side and, gripping your chin, forced you to glare into his eyes. "You're pathetic."

He threw you down onto the beaten ground. You growled, an anger igniting your bones, a fire burning in your eyes. You sprung up, gripping your weapon so tightly you were afraid your palms would bleed.

Letting out a cry, you rushed towards him, whose lips were now graced by a sadistic smile. He swung his keyblade at you, to which you sidestepped. You brought yours down at him, however, he reflexively dodged, smashing the hilt of his blade against your neck.

You coughed, crimson staining the brown earth. Another laugh and you clenched your fingers. Mustering the last remnants of your strength, you turned to hit him on his face, yet his hand caught yours in a fraction.

"How worthless you are," he replied, his gaze a smug leer. You flinched, shunning yourself away from his cold gaze. He threw you to the ground and you covered the fall using your arm, a crack echoing in your mind. Your keyblade was released from your grasp and you paled.

His shadow engendered a frightened shiver from you noticed his grin widen. You were afraid- no, you were beyond terrified. He bore down on you, his shadow overwhelming you. You scooted backwards, pupils dilating and lips pulled in a tight line.

He was soon atop of you, his hot breath hissing against your neck. Your hands found way onto his shoulders, however, try as you might, his frame would not move. "Stop it," he hissed vehemently and you gulped, the little confidence you had left fleeing from you in terror. "It's useless now."

So you surrendered and he laughed gleefully as you did. And he pulled away, leaving you in the dust to watch his disappearing back. You almost cried, for you were weak and unable to make him stronger. You stared at him as he finally vanished.

He, who was so much greater than you, and yourself, the pathetic weakling. How was he so strong, yet so gentle at the same time? You did not know, but you loved it and so, picking up your fallen weapon, you limped towards him, your only source of assurance.
