Day 13 ( Birth )

Sorry if this seems a bit rushed, I've been stuck on what days to do for this specific part ;w; it's been a few hard months due to writer's block.

Also sorry for the delayed chapters! More will be soon!

P.p.s; Also I wanted to apologize for not publishing the chapters on the days that they were suppose to be out, things got busy at home for me. We're also working on finding a place to live, also yes we're still in the process of moving.

The day had finally arrived. It had been in the afternoon, it was cold and damp out, enough to make even Lotus shiver from the thought. But, he seemed happier now that September was over. Holding his stomach, slowly rubbing circles to calm the twin souls within his womb. Resting his body into the bed, caressing Rurik's head, who's head was now resting on Lotus' belly.

Rurik had looked up at him, giving that same worried glance to his husband.

Said,

"Are you comfortable enough?" In a hushed whisper. Causing even Lotus to shiver, but in delight this time. Snuggling into the blankets, purring softly, nodding. "Mhm, as comfortable as I will be. Thanks, Puddin~" He replied, smiling briefly.

Feeling a wave of pain come from his abdomen, flinching a bit, soon resting his hand there. Lifting the blanket to see that the two souls had been glowing a bit more frequently than the day before. Lotus began to remember that the day before was something to remember, there were a few baby pictures of Spade and Shadow right beside Rurik and Lotus' bed on the nightstand. The first picture to remember of their first children.

A few guards ( Red, Cross and Dust ) became alerted when Lotus screamed out at the sudden wave of pain. His husband shot up off the bed, looking at him.

"Lotus?"

"They're.. They're coming.."

"Right now?" 

"Yes right now, you ass!"

"What do you want to do?" Rurik asked, worried for his husband. Rubbing his stomach, "we need to see Science. He stated that he would be taking care of me while I give birth." Lotus breathed, wincing a little.

"Oh God, this hurts.. This hurts bad.."

"Easy does it." Rurik replied, listening to Lotus breathing heavily. His breath hitching from this new feeling he needed to bare. This was a whole new level of pain he hasn't experienced before. Rurik helps him off the bed with a few of the nurses who came in, holding his hand  while he would rather prefer only Rurik. But, at the moment, he just wanted to get this over with.

Lotus was taken into Science's office, gripping the sheets to the bed he had been placed on. Scared for his life that this would definitely end his life. Panicking from the intense pain he felt from the souls in his stomach. Rurik made sure that Lotus would be fine. Alongside his mother and father who came on time to help in return.

"Hi baby-" Geno spoke in the doorway, with a worried face Raven who was now about almost a year older than he seemed about a month ago. Crying suddenly at the sight of his brother going into labor, he continued to think that he was going to die.

"Don't worry about me, Raven. I'm just-- nnh.. Giving life is a bitch.. Who knew it would hurt this bad?!" Lotus said, gripping the sheets. Science did everything he could to make sure he was comfortable. Raising the bed a bit to begin the transfer of the two souls. Reaper sighed, holding Raven in his arms while he was crying badly. "Easy there, Raven, it'll be okay." He spoke, rubbing his baby son's skull. Moving his hand to his back to sooth him, "shh, shh.. Your big brother is gonna be okay. Shh.." Geno saw this side of Reaper, and never thought to see the day where he would look motherly. Smirking a bit, said, "you would make a great mama." And earned an arched eyebrow toward him from his lover. "Yeah? Well, you can't blame me, Raven is scared is all. Since he's only a few months, he doesn't exactly know what birth is until it happens."

"Mm, true. Let me see him." Geno says, lending his arms out. Reaper had that worried expression on his face, then, shrugging his shoulders. "Okay, mama knows best." He joked, lending Raven to him who was still crying.

"Mama.. Mama!" Raven cried out, sniffling. Holding his arms out to him. "Oh, my sweet baby." Geno smiled,  held him in his arms, rocking back and forth. "My little baby is the best baby, shhh, it's alright, your big brother is going to be okay."

Lotus screams out in pain. Whimpering. Holding Rurik's hand so hard it popped a few of his husband's knuckles. "Breathe, Cup. Breathe.." Rurik said, wincing a bit. Feeling like he wanted to pass out from only his lover crushing his hand. But mostly because he was anxious to meet his twin children. "Breathing.." Lotus replied, gritting his teeth. Keeping his breathing steady.

Goth and Palette had arrived only a few minutes later after Lotus' water had broke completely causing him to go directly into labor.

Goth strides into the room with Palette chasing after him. But, they weren't allowed into the room due to the process of the birthing Lotus was doing. Cross and Dust stood out in the hall with them to make sure they waited until the screaming finally stopped. Goth was scared by the way the screaming sounded from even outside the door. Wincing a bit, hugging himself. Palette noticed this, and wrapped a protective arm around his boyfriend. "Geez, that sounds like it has to hurt.." Goth said, shivering.

Cross and Dust both look to one another about an hour into the labor later. The screaming had finally ceased. And the birth, was a success.

Lotus, had finally given life to his and Rurik's twin children. Earning the two to cry in unison. "Oh my god.." Lotus had been exhausted. Panting briefly, his grip loosened from the bed.

And soon, darkness welcomed him. Passing out from using too much of his magic to give life to Spade and Shadow.

-Another hour or so later-

Lotus woke up to see his parents, Goth, Palette and, his husband.

"Thank God you're okay, Cup. I was worried. But, look-- meet our little ones." Rurik said, smiling. He seemed happier, more calmer than he has ever looked in years. He was holding onto Spade, while also holding Shadow. Both were snuggling into the snuggie they were given.

"Congratulations Lotus, you have given life to twins." Science spoke, smiling. Spade's eye lights were still closed, sleepily cuddling into her twin brother, Shadow. Shadow was doing the same. Both start to cry once Rurik's cellphone goes off. "Let me see them." Lotus said, weakly. Smiling, while easily Science holds one of the twins, Shadow snuggled to his sister. Whining, wanting to stay with her. He chuckled, "Easy now. You and your sister are a strong bond. I would never take you away from her." Science states, hearing Shadow hiccup from crying. Soon lending both of the children to their mother.

Lotus seemed weak, but he knew he was recovering from only giving birth.

"Hi babies, I'm your mama~"

They both look up at him, opening their big beautiful  russet pastel eyes, and both snuggled into him. Knowing fully, that he was their mother.
