I realized how late this came out than it was suppose to.

LOL pretty ironic that this happened to me of all
writers.

But I've been pretty busy with things at home. But I know you readers can relate to that.

Before I make this longer- I hope your New Years was excellent. If not, I do indeed hope that whatever is going on gets better.

Without further ado, I proudly present the next part of the Cards Of Spade! This one is for her brother, Shadow!

Enjoy the chapter!🎉

A day later, Lotus was tending to his children and making sure that they were well fed and rested. Smiling to himself on how well he was doing at being a first time parent.

Rurik was still dealing with the sling around his arm and the cast on his leg. His ribs have long been healed since two months prior. It has only been a few months since the incident of being sucked into a tornado. That was three months ago. Lotus heard a nurse come and tend to his husband in their room, hearing their voices.

"Are you feeling any pain at all?" Asked the nurse, Rebecca. Her hair was brown and her eyes were a hazel blue. Rurik was finally getting the cast from his arm and leg taken off today. Lotus wandered into the room, carrying Shadow in his arms and Spade was in his cloak's hood. Carrying two children at the same time was harder than it looked.

Rurik shook his head, but smirked when he noticed his husband in the door.

"I feel as healthy as a horse."

"That's not you over exaggerating, is it, Puddin'?" Lotus asked, hearing Shadow yawning wide. Rubbing his eyes from just being asleep. Once he noticed his father, he had the biggest smile on his face. "Of course it isn't. I have no pain whatsoever."

"That's great news. We're going to take that cast off of you today. Is this alright?" Asked Rebecca, seeming nervous for a moment, then she shot right back to being professional for her work. Rurik agreed, and waited. Eyeing his husband the entire time. Lotus knew that his Palette was tired of being lazy throughout what felt like three long months, which felt like a pleasure to Lotus.

But, Lotus even knew that Rurik was wanting to hold him with both of his arms and not just his one. He missed hugging his Goth more than he should have.

After a few minutes went by, the sling to his arm finally came off. Then afterward, three minutes or so went by and the cast to his leg was off as well. When the nurse told him that his bones were well healed and seeming healthier than those three months before. Rurik seemed pleased, "do take care of yourself." Rebecca says. Leaving the room with the other two nurses. "And, please don't get yourself stuck in a tornado again, okay? I would hate to see you have broken bones again." Lotus heard this and chuckled, because he swore he heard a low soft rumble come from Rurik.

Almost as if saying the words 'like I could help being sucked into a damn tornado'. In which he couldn't. He would have rather it be him than his newly growing family.

"Of course. Thank you. You will be greatly paid for your services."

The low rumble was still there, but that's always been a thing with him. After the nurses left, he stood up as slowly as he could. Knowing that he couldn't walk for that amount of time, it was an eyesore toward Rurik. But he didn't need to worry about that. Because he wouldn't let that happen. Not again.

He slowly walked to Lotus, and caresses his cheek. "Finally. I get to hold my husband and children with both arms-" Lotus stuck his tongue out playfully at him, while Shadow was quiet the entire time. Still half asleep, while Spade was chewing on her mother's cloak. Lotus heard this and went to stop her, but was then caught off guard by Rurik's mouth crashing into his. Without accidentally squishing Shadow.
