Lotus breathed out a soft sigh, holding his stomach, standing in front of the window. Watching the on coming rain, October was only a few weeks away. He rubs his summoned stomach, "I can't wait to meet you, little ones. We can make many memories together, you both, papa and I~" He said to the dimly glowing souls within his stomach. Feeling little heart beats from within.

"Seems like you're almost ready." Spoke up a voice, Lotus turned to face Science. Nodding a bit, "yeah. Seems so. It seemed just like yesterday when I found out I was pregnant."

"It seems like so many months ago, doesn't it?" Science asked, smiling at him. "Mostly." Lotus replied.

"You know, if you'd like, I could check in on how their progress is doing." Science says, "I would like that." Lotus' face beams in happiness. Almost purring in bliss to know that two new lives are soon coming closer.

- In Fell!Palette ( Rurik's ) office -

Rurik was flipping through paperwork, sighing briefly. He had been worried for his lover, considering to the fact that they recently had an intimate moment together only a day ago. He was worried that it stunted their unborn children's growth. Thankfully, though, everything seemed fine.

"Rurik, would you like to join your husband?" Science asks, peaking into the room at Rurik sitting at his desk. "Yeah, I'll join in a few minutes. Let me just finish up here and I'll be right there."

"Puddin'-"

Lotus' voice came, "hmm."

"You've been working non-stop for a day in a half. Why don't you take a break?" Rurik heard this, soon slammed his hand onto his desk.

Said, "I said; 'I'll be in, in a few minutes'."

"But, Puddin'-"

"No buts, Cupcake, I need to finish this paperwork. If I don't my dad won't let me hear the end of it." Rurik continued to write down notes, sighing. Lotus pouted, crossing his arms over his chest.

"So says the one who wanted to protect me from harm--"

"That's what the paperwork is about, Cupcake. It's about protecting you."

"You are well aware that I can protect myself, Rurik." Lotus grumbled, turning away a bit. "I'll be waiting." Lotus breathed out, walking away with Science down the hall to his office.

Rurik watched them leave his office, and he couldn't help but rub his temples in frustration of how Lotus was acting towards him. But he could understand, considering that his husband was carrying his children.

I don't want to have to apologize, but, maybe something better will make up for me almost losing my temper with him. Lotus understands he's still my Cupcake~ Rurik told himself, slyly. Smirking, and continued to finish up what he was doing.

- In Science's office -

Lotus still continued to pout, but tried to seem less agitated with his husband's actions toward him. Lotus understood that Rurik was a boss, and understood that his lover had work to do. Thankfully though, since Rurik is the boss of the family. He had been on leave for awhile until their twin children were born. He didn't want Lotus giving birth to them alone.

Lotus sighed, letting Science help him up onto the table. Setting everything up in order to check in on the souls floating within his patient.

"I'm so glad that I don't need money for this."

"Normally, money would be a thing a 'normal' doctor would ask for. But since you are now family, I am also now hereby your doctor." Lotus heard this and smiled, "thank you, doc. It helps to know you're here to keep me healthy."

A knock on the door sounded, and it opened. Rurik stood there in the door, closing it behind him. His heavy boots clank against the tiles of the floor. Spoke,

"Sorry if I seemed kinda grumpy. My dad called earlier and told me I had paperwork to do."

"Oh, so that's why you were being a prick." Lotus notes, Rurik hated to admit it. But it was true. All he wanted was to spend time with his lover. Not have to do paperwork.

"God the mayhem of being apart of the family is a pain in the ass--" Rurik remarks to himself, rubbing his neck. Soon walking over to the table where Lotus lays, he pulled a chair up. Sitting beside the table.
Lotus knew that Rurik wasn't a man who apologizes always with words he is a man of action.

Rurik kissed the knuckles of his lover's hand. Smiling a tad.

"Alright, everything is settled. Let's begin, shall we?" Science broke the silence, Lotus gave a hum in agreement toward him. As well as Rurik, continued to hold Lotus' hand in his. Squeezing softly, "I'm not going into labor yet, Puddin'." Lotus said, laughing suddenly. Then wincing once the cold gel ball of the ultrasound began touching his stomach.

"I know, I am just excited to see how Shadow and Spade are doing." Rurik says, chuckling, and once the screen popped up.

They both saw two tiny little children floating alongside their beautifully colored souls within the summoned flesh. "Wow, so small." Lotus said, in awe. Smiling like a fool. "But wait, I thought ultrasounds didn't work with monster babies?" Lotus continued, "oh. This kind isn't like your normal ultrasound, this version works to reach the souls of the life form within the summoned flesh of a monster, or skeleton." Sci replied, moving the gel ball on Lotus' stomach.

Rurik's eye lights scan the screen to see Spade and Shadow, their beautifully created lifeforms. Hugging into one another, but not enough to infuse them together. "They're so beautiful, and small.." He whispers to himself, only to feel Lotus squeeze his hand in his.

"Aren't they~?" Lotus asked, "oh hey. It's time for some pictures!" Rurik said. Smirking, grabbing his phone out of his pants pocket. Soon taking a video instead. "Puddin'- you're a genius!"

"Why thank you, love. Smile." Rurik faced the camera to Lotus, "you know I don't smile." The camera blurring a bit, soon clearing up on Lotus' shorter frame laying on the table.

"Pff, c'mon Cup, I've seen you smile before."

"And I've seen you blush before."

"Touché-" Rurik said, laughing a bit. Soon he earned a smile from his husband on the table, "I hate you sometimes~"

"Mhh, and I love you all the time~" flirts Rurik over the camera, then Lotus realizes and his face turned crimson with his blush.

"You're taking a video, you jerk!"

This earned a warm hearted laugh from Rurik, the father. Smiling. "Yup, and I got you to smile on video~!"

Lotus then shook his head and smiles, "I really hate you, but I can't keep a mad expression~" He said.

"Say hello to mama, Spade and Shadow." Rurik said to the camera, settling the camera somewhere so he could be in the take with his lover.

"And, I'm papa." Said Rurik, waving a bit. Holding Lotus' hand in his, "and this?" Moving his hands protectively over his husband's stomach. "This is you, growing so healthy and strong."

"Alright, turn it off, Puddin'. They get it~" Lotus nags, shooing Rurik away a bit. Blushing heavily. Hiding his embarrassment with his red scarf.

Soon Rurik turned the camera off, smirking smugly at Lotus. "You--"

"Mhm~"

"I love you."

"As do I, love you, too~" Rurik went over and kissed Lotus, holding him in his arms after Science cleaned Lotus up.

"I'm so excited to be a parent with you, Cup~"

"As am I, with you, Puddin'~"

And soon, Science took a picture of the both of them with Rurik holding Lotus' stomach protectively.

"Send me the first baby pictures of the twins, then send me that picture you just took. Understood?" Rurik asked, Science nods. Smiling.

"Of course."
