Ah, it's finally Christmas. The best holiday in the entire month, besides Halloween of course.

I've always enjoyed Christmas with my family because it just felt right. Also, it wasn't about Kami for once! We actually feel like a real family for once which makes me happy.

As I sat down on the couch I saw dad fixing the tree, for the millionth time, for Santa to see. "Dad I'm pretty sure the tree's fine." I chuckled as he turned and patted my head. "Oh Adrien, fine isn't good enough for Santa trust me I know from experience." He sighed and continued to work on the tree. Ah right dad never had a good Christmas.

"Dad, what was grandma like?" He happy expression instantly turned sad and he looked away. "Wait I didn't mean to-" "I don't know." "What?" "I don't know. I've never met my mom." A huge wave of regret washed over me and I just wanted to crawl into a hole and die. "Why not?" Jesus, Adrien can you not pry into people's personal lives? "She died after giving birth to me, so I've never met her. I grew up with just my dad and that's it." Wow, now I feel like an idiot. "Sorry dad." He smiled and rubbed my head. "It's fine, I was thinking about telling you and your sister anyway."

I gave him a hug and returned to the couch, making my Christmas list. I wish dad knew what it was like growing up with a mom. "Dinner!" Mom called out and like always it was a race between me and Kami to see which one of us could sit next to dad. Which, not to brag or anything, I won and laughed with victory and watched Kami pout and sit next to mom. "Being fast is a blessing." I smirked and began to eat. "You won't be so lucky next time."

I woke up to Kami shaking me awake. "Come on lazy bones and get up! We go presents!!" She squealed as I covered my ears and grabbed my phone. "It's 6 in the morning! What the hell is wrong with you! Lemme sleep in." I said falling back to sleep. That's when she grabbed a extra pillow that I had and wacked me with it. "Jesus! Fine! I'm up!" I yelled grabbing her by the arm and dragging her downstairs.

We stood my the tree in awe, there was a lot more presents than I thought there was gonna be. Most of them, were for me!? Wow, that's a first. There was this strange feeling I felt inside my body that I've never really felt before. Was this happiness? Like family happiness? Kami nudged my arm breaking me out of my thoughts. "You know Santa isn't real right? This is all from mom and dad." I rolled my eyes and walked towards the tree, "Yea right, you're a horrible liar. Only trouble makers don't believe in Santa." "I'm not a trouble maker! I know he isn't real 'cuz I saw them do it every year!" She exclaimed crossing her arms.

"Any physical or photo proof?" "W-well no but-" "Then Santa's real, end of discussion." I went into the kitchen and starting making pancakes for everyone (even though I didn't want to I made some of Kami as well.) After a couple minutes of setting up and perfection fixes I grabbed both plates and headed upstairs. Damn how am I supposed to open the door? Thankfully Kami was around and opened the door for me. "Thanks" I whispered and she nodded in response. "Merry Christmas!" We shouted unanimously and while dad shot up and mom just moved around. "Wow already?" Dad said rubbing his eyes while shaking mom to get up. "Adrien made you breakfast!" Kami said while presenting the beautiful, perfect, most delicious pancakes I always made.

"Oh how sweet." Mom yawned while stretching. "Fun fact, if you stretch you just get yourself more tired!" I exclaimed proudly. "You're such a nerd." Kami laughed nudging me. I just sat there and laughed.

"Now! Enough chit chat, lets go open some presents!" "Yay!" Kami yelled running downstairs.

I gotta say I must've been really good this year 'cuz I got almost everything on my Christmas list. Add the emphasis on almost. I got a new Samsung phone, Animation tablet, Drawing utensils, Paint and paint brushes, a couple Bakugou plushies and action figures and more anime posters. The only thing that I didn't get is my body pillow, (I'm not gonna explain.) Kami got a lot of girly stuff. Like makeup, hair supplies, dresses, heels and other things. Honestly being a girl must suck 'cuz it seems really stupid to need all of that just to make you look better, but you already look amazing they was you look no matter what anyone says.

"So your really sure that you need that Kami? You're already beautiful enough why ruin it?" She looked at me with what it looked like remorse. "You really think I'm pretty after all of those times when you call me ugly?" "Duh obviously. I only say that 'cuz I'm messing around, plus I'm your brother." I went over to her and gave her a huge hug which felt so right since we haven't really hugged in awhile. "Thanks little brother." "Aww so cute!!" Mom squealed and took multiple picture of us while I hurried and got away from Kami embarrassed.

Now that I think about it. This year hasn't been so bad after all if I think about it. I smiled to myself not caring if anyone was looking at me or laughing at me. I was happy and who knows, maybe next year we could be better than now. More like a family, and Kami could be less self-absorbed while mom focuses less on her and more on both of us. Dad on the other had he could stay the same, he's pretty cool and focuses on me when no one else doesn't. I walked up to dad and sat right next to him.

"Dad?" "Yea?" I paused for a moment then hugged him. "I love you, thanks for being there." I whispered loud enough for him to hear. He gave me a warm smiled and hugged back even tighter. "I love you more." He kissed my forehead while I rested on his shoulder.

"Merry Christmas Adrien."
