One-shot for Christmas

To make this perfectly clear, this one shot has nothing to do with the story, it is a nice little Christmas stand alone that I wrote to celebrate. For those of you who do not celebrate Christmas, have an amazing day. There is going to be an actual update coming in the New Year. Oh and in this Leo and Calypso got back like ages ago. Calypso hit Percy. if you were wondering. And yes I have read TOA. I know what really happened. Dear me, I'm rambling.

Nico woke up to a knock at his door. He checked his alarm clock. 10 AM. What a barbaric time to get up. But nevertheless he sat up and got out of bed, pulling on his jacket.

'Come in' he yelled tiredly. The door opened and in came Hazel and Frank. They handed him his presents and he remembered. It was Christmas Day.

'One second!', he yelled, fully awake and running to the cupboard he had stored all the presents in. The Romans were here for the week too ,so he had not had extra time to get Reyna, Frank and Hazel their presents. Oh well. He had found them presents in time. He handed over the presents and quickly pulled on some clothes as soon as they'd gone, knowing more people were on the way. Everyone dropped presents to him for Christmas as he was never at the camp gift exchange at nine. He was asleep as always. Frank had got him a box of chocolates, and Hazel a pastel scarf, that he grumbled about, but secretly loved. He gave Frank a box of Lindor (they were not past the chocolate stage yet)and Hazel a set of recordings of what had been her favourite radio show in the40s Next it was Percy and Annabeth , Percy gave him a set of colouring pencils and Annabeth gave him a book on room design. He got Percy a blue scarf and Annabeth a grey one covered in owls. Then Jason came(Jason gave him the Hunger games, he gave Jason a coin that if flipped summoned a skeleton to do housework) Piper following behind (Piper gave him a Camp half blood Hades cabin t-shirt (he only had a standard camp one) and he gave Piper a copy of a book set he liked called the Kane Chronicles. ) Reyna was next (He gave her a third dog- skeleton- to go with Aurum and Argentum, she gave him a special imperial gold spear as a backup to his sword that could turn into a compass to store), Then, Calypso and Leo came last. (they both gave him chocolates and he gave them more)but the morning wound on and no Will turned up. This made Nico first sad, then quite worried. Just as he was getting to the stage of I WILL FIND YOU SOLACE , a new camper from the Apollo cabin ran in.

'Will asked me to give you this' the caper panted, handed him a note, then ran out the door without saying a word. Nico opened the note. It read:

Come and find me where earth meets air, where the king meets his son.

Well, that was easy, the Zeus Cabin. Earth, meets air, well Zeus was king of the winds, and king of the gods, meets his son there . Nico was not an idiot.

When he got there, on the door , there was a wreath frame and a riddle that lead him to the Iris cabin, where there was a holly branch and a note telling him to stick anything he got into the wreath frame, and told him to go to the Hecate cabin, and so on all around the cabins, until he had a full wreath, that actually looked good if you kind of squinted. The final cabin the trails lead him to was the Poseidon cabin, and he actually had to knock on this one to get his foliage, and Percy came to the door. Behind him I could see Annabeth and Grover, who must have been playing a family game with him.

'Nico. Will asked me to give you this and to say go down to the beach after hanging up the wreath. ON your door. Merry Christmas!! Bye!!!'

Percy slammed the door. So that was why Will had not come to see him this morning. Nico basically slammed the wreath onto the door. Will had been busy at the infirmary all week so today was gong to be his first time seeing him all week. (He had not managed to get any bad enough injuries to get in to the infirmary) and he had missed his sweet, loving Will.

Down at the beach, he saw Will, sitting, staring out over the lake, with a picnic. Nico sneaked up behind him and put his hands over his eyes

'Hey Neeks. Was wonderin' when you would show up. Missed you all week. Guess you couldn't find a good enough excuse to get in to the infirmary then??' Nico sat down beside him.

'No. Every time I tried somebody stopped me.' He pickled up the McDonald's happy meal beside him. 'You spoil me, Solace'

'This is a date, DiAngelo. I am meant to spoil you.' Nico rolled his eyes, stood up and pulled Will along with him.

At his cabin door he stopped. 'what do you think of the wreath, Sunshine?'

'love it, Ghost King' Will pulled open the door, closed it and pulled Nico close.

'Now, what's that over our heads?' Nico looked up.

'Jack-'Nico growled, but was cut off by Will kissing him, for what was over their heads, was mistletoe

Sorry to give you amazing people such a bad Christmas one shot., but I wrote this whilst hiding from my family who wanted me to watch an Audrey Hepburn film, a 50s film and play happy families(not all at the same time) so thank you my fam. I needed the time to write this and you gave me it. Even ifthattime was meant to be spent doing other stuff.
