He is being so damn stubborn!

"Speak, sis!! And I wanted some loving tonight, too!!" As of lately, that's all Nafisa whined about; wanting to get hunched on by Amir. I rolled my eyes at her and her whining. It has been a while since we've had some alone time, but that was no excuse for him to be acting feral.

I know he's still hurting, but he's allowing his emotions to rule this tribe, and that is not what we need right now. I was telling him to his face that this was not going to end well, and he refused to hear me.

"Sis, you know brotha man is stubborn as hell!! What do you expect??" I shook my head in agreement with Nafisa because she was absolutely right.

I excused the guards and Omegas for the rest of the night and locked up my chambers with a force field. I knew Amir would try to sneak back in here, and Nafisa and the flesh were very weak.

"Heffa, I'm not that weak!!! But that is mate, tho..." I was getting tired of her hot ass. Ever since my pups turned ten months, Nafisa's been acting strange, and she was getting on my nerves.

I slipped into the conjoined suite where my three beautiful blessings lay peacefully in dreamland and fell in love at the sight of my babies all bundled up beside each other.

"I can't believe we made something so precious..." Nafisa spoke lovingly as I wiped a single tear from my cheek.

Shortly after their births, I placed an enchantment on the curtains of their canopy crib so they can't hear a thing once they were inside. We were in the middle of stopping a war, plus, I loved my children, but the more they grew, the rowdier they became. Let's not mention the fact that their powers are coming in, also. For the past two months, they've been making themselves levitate and disappear. As their mother and first teacher, it was the most humbling and precious thing to witness.

"I know this is a tough time, daughter, but don't punish him too harshly. He's at a crossroads and he just needs time to think." Afeni was trying her hardest to cheer me up, but I was still upset. I heard her slip into the children's suite just mere seconds before my husband and I's heated debacle. After the death of Alpha Drake, she couldn't bear living in the big house anymore, so Trent had a mini replica built for her in the community.

"I understand that Mama, but what about me? I'm telling him that this road leads nowhere, but he just won't hear me. Quincy is sure that Thema is his mate, which means she feels the bond, too. If Trent kills Thema, Quincy will kill Trent. That is the law of the Moon Goddess, and it can't be broken."

I began to pace back and forth, a habit I had picked up from Trent, and I tried to think about what my Nana would say at this moment. Shortly after she returned from Texas, Nana started dating again. When she told me that she had found someone that she was interested in and that she was going to be traveling abroad, I was appalled but happy that she found someone she could spend the rest of her life with. Nana would tell me to comfort him in his time of need and be understanding of him.

"Yea, J!! Be understanding!! Mate is under a lot of pressure right now..." This chick just wouldn't quit with her lovesick ass.

"Mom, I've listened to all of your stories about good times and family sticking together, but I would be a fool to think there were never any hard times or arguments. How did you make it through all those rough patches?" I was curious to know because any advice would be accepted.

"This is your journey, daughter. Telling you what I did won't help you. This is your path, and you must figure it out for yourself. You are an Ayaba and a Luna; that means you have a right to protect your tribe and your family. Do what you must, but please be careful."
