Green had no idea what he was doing.

...Well, sort of.

While running towards a cave with a note block in hand as he began questioning whatever decisions lead to this very moment wouldn't exactly classify as a hobby for this certain stickman, it's happened enough times for it to be concerning. Yes, once is enough of a time for it to be concerning. You'd think the apparentness of a mildly life-threatening outcome would be enough to make him running faster, but alas, this is Green we're talking about.

Hued legs taking him to the darkness as fast as they could-only really stopping to check where he was going-Green wasted almost none of his time, going straight in the moment he could. The usual surroundings of stone blocks and the occasional ore or two did nothing to suppress the strangeness of the floating baby zombie at the center-one that, no doubt, would be speaking in notes.

Green took a deep breath, a small probably distracted part of him praying he'd never get to see whatever kind of symphony a creeper would give him. With a bit of forced confidence that was almost impressive, he placed down his noteblock, preparing to translate his question into.. whatever their language was. Rhythm-ease, he shortly decided, and before long, his hands were tapping to a melody he hoped the rhythmic nightmare afront could understand.

"Hello, have you seen a purple stick?"

Well, it works?

Looking up from where he knelt on the floor, Green transferred his gaze towards the baby zombie, watching as it started to give him its response, limp body swaying to some sort of universal melody.

"A purrplesszzstick you search forrr?" it slurs, musical speech somehow ending up exactly like how Green imagined it. He would've tried learning more about this language, actually, but with how things are, time was starting to feel like more of a luxury. Wait, why am I thinking about this? He shook his head at the thought. Quit spacing out and focus, dammit!

"Yes," he responded in turn, "have you seen..?"

Somehow, everything after those words felt-somehow-wrong. Like an.. interference was being made.

Or maybe it was just the baby zombie staying silent for a second too long for comfort.

"You're a curious one, aren't you?" a mysterious voice inquired, sounding both heavenly and dangerous at the same time, whispering into his ear like the wind of a cool, winter breeze. Green stopped in his tracks, looking around himself, alarmed that somebody here didn't speak to him in Rhythm-ease.

But there wasn't anybody around.

The hell?

Up, down, left, right-

Who was that?..

Green stopped for a moment, listening to his surroundings. There was nothing but the wind and the quiet rustling of leaves around him, accompanied by some distant singing.

He was just about to walk again, when all of a sudden-

"Relax there, young one."

He was the farthest thing from relaxed. Green nearly dropped his note block from shock-how the heck is he expected not to panic? Whoever this person is clearly has no idea how emotions work.

The mysterious voice gave a quiet hum. "Dearest apologies," they simply said, voice a mellow whisper. The danger in their voice was less prominent than before. Something about them was demanding; as if they wanted something from him, but Green knew better than to just let his guard down immediately. He learned his lesson after that creeper came up to him in the middle of the ocean while he was fishing. ...Do creepers even swim, actually?
