Green had no idea what he was doing.
For context, he was currently running towards a cave, note block in hand, questioning whatever decisions lead to this very moment.
"You're a curious one, aren't you?" A mysterious voice said, sounding both heavenly and dangerous at the same time. Green stopped at his tracks, looking around himself, alarmed that somebody here didn't speak to him in Rhythm-ease.
There wasn't anybody around.
The hell?
Up, down, left, right-
Who was that?..
Green stopped for a moment, listening to his surroundings. There was nothing but the wind and the quiet rustling of the leaves around him, accompanied by some distant singing.
He was just about to walk again, when all of a sudden-
"Relax there, young one."
He was the farthest thing from relaxed. Green nearly dropped his note block from shock-how the heck is he expected not to panic? Whoever this person is clearly has no idea how emotions work.
The mysterious voice gave a quiet hum. "Dearest apologies," they simply said, voice a mellow whisper. The danger in their voice less prominent than before. Something about them was demanding; as if they wanted something from him, but Green knew better than to just let his guard down immediately. He learned his lesson after that creeper came up to him in the middle of the ocean while he was fishing. ...Do creepers even swim, actually?
"I have the answers to your questions, however, these certain answers hold the risk of either making your side lose or win," they continued, sounding as if they were trying to suppress amusement. They definitely heard Green's thoughts.
"It's a 50/50, Green," he decided not to seem surprised. Since when did he tell the mysterious voice his name? ..Weird, "but fear not, as you aren't the only one who is being questioned as of now. Your other friends are being asked as well as even the other side. I, as Fate, am making this fair for all, even if life itself has its misfortunes.
"So, tell me, Green; do you accept my offer?"
By this point, Green had already placed down the noteblock he was carrying and was sitting down on it. The answers to all of my questions, huh? And, since this "Fate" person is presumably asking everybody else, then those answers must be related to King's questions as well..
Green pondered long and hard, having forgotten the entire purpose of him being in this musical realm. Was Fate telling the truth? What if saying "Yes" would put everybody in trouble again? But.. What if this was actually Fate? What then? Would I be turning down a once-in-a-lifetime offer by saying "no"?
"I assure you, Green, I am, indeed, Fate themself." Despite Green not being able to see Fate, he could tell that they were smiling warmly. "Do you have an answer to my offer? Do you accept?"
Green inhaled sharply and stood up. "Win or lose, go big or go home.. Whatever it takes to defeat King." He held out a hand. "I'm in. Let's do this."
"Very well," Fate said, although it was much clearer now. "Close your eyes, calm yourself. Be rid of adrenaline. I promise you, your answers will arrive in Time."
Then, a bright flash appeared.

ㅤ"...ND YOU!"
"Mhng..."
Green stirred awake, rubbing his eyes as he did.
Then, he realized, he recognized none of his surroundings.
