Chapter 7

(Amanda's POV)

The day

The day was finally here. It had arrived so fast. I was now leaving. I was at the airport saying goodbye to my friends. I was crying and so were my friends. At last it was time to start boarding. I hugged all of my friends one last time. The were all there exept for Nicky. She had a basketball tournament and she couldn't miss it or she would get kicked out of the team. I was devastated for not being able to say goodbye to her. I started walking to the gates when I heard someone scream out my name.

"Amanda!!"

I turned arround and saw Nicky. My best friend. The one who had always been there for me. For a second I thought about just running to start boarding, just so it wouldn't be so hard to say goodbye. But something stopped me. I HAD to say goodbye I couldn't just leave. I ran up to her and hugged her. I cried even more.

"What are you doing here?! Your suppost to be at your basketball tournament! Your going to get kicked out of the team!! What were you thinking Nicky!!!"

"I needed to say goodbye" She said crying

"But your going to get kicked out of the team! Nicky!! The basketball team meant everything to you!! You worked so hard to get in and stay in!!"

"It's going to be ok"

"What do you mean? So they aren't going to kick you out?"

"They already did"

"Nicky!!" I cried even more. Nicky had worked so hard to get in the basketball team. It was her passion. I had never seen her so into something. She had decided to end it all just to say goodbye?!

As if she had read my mind she whispered. "It was worth it"

"Last call for flight for California. The doors will be closing in 30 minutes."

"I really have to go" I said

Nicky nodded as hot tears started streaming down her cheeks. She bit her bottom lip to stop herself from crying out loud. I hugged her one last time and started walking back. I didn't look back. I was about to start a new life And I was going to try my best not to look back.
