Sentinel had driven to the Lincoln Memorial. Once we arrived, he threw me to the ground while transforming, making me yelp. As he walked away, I rushed to get on my feet, hoping to run away but I was immediately caught by another mechanical hand. Looking up, I saw Starscream looking right at me. I screamed, trying to get out of his grip, but he just tightened his hold on me. "Let me see! Let me see!" I heard another voice yell. I looked down to see a smaller Decepticon, who mostly consisted of a head, jumping up and down by Starscream's feet. "Ah! Get away, you ugly ass potato!" I cried, kicking my legs at it, scared it would bite one of my feet off.
"Enough!" Sentinel growled, pointing his sword towards us. "Tie her up." He ordered, turning his back to us again. They both growled, before the small Decepticon went and got some chains. Starscream placed me on the ground, but kept his firm grip on my shoulders, as the small Decepticon wrapped the chain around my arms and waist. Once they were satisfied, they pulled me up from the ground by the chain and hung me up by a nearby tree, having me dangle in the air. "Is this really necessary?" I growled, thrashing around, hoping to break loose. "It might not be." Starscream sighed, leaning down to me. "But it's so much fun, watching you struggle. Like an insect, caught in a trap." He sighed, poking me, making me swing slightly.
Further back, I could see Megatron look at me, clenching his fist together, making sparks fly from his claws. Starscream, seemingly done with me, turned and walked away, having the small Decepticon follow him. The three of them walked over to the memorial, while Sentinel went out to the water, placing the pillars all around. "Why are you doing this?" I yelled, glaring at the back of his head. "Foolish girl. Cybertron was a mighty planet. This planet of yours is nothing compared to the greatness of ours." My brows furrowed. "So, you want to destroy our planet? That doesn't make any sense!" I argued, still trying to get out of the chains. "I don't need it to make sense for you." Sentinel answered.
I stayed quiet for a bit, thinking about everything that had happened. Sam, Bee, Dino, Sideswipe, Ironhide and Optimus. The dress and the shoes I had bought was also something I started to think about as I was hanging there. The dress had been torn from when Sentinel killed Ironhide, and the heels had a few scratches, but somehow, the heel itself hadn't broken on either shoe. I was actually really impressed, but also really bummed out since I knew I wouldn't be able to return them.
"Why did you take me with you?" I asked, looking up at Sentinel. He stayed quiet for a second. "You've made it clear you think i'm just a worthless human, so why bother to bring me with you?" I pressed on. A small sigh escaped from him. "Optimuse's lieutenant, B127..." He started, making me raise a brow. 'B127?'. "You two have a strong connection and as I have understood it, a relationship has blossomed between the two of you. Such an unnatural occurrence is not something I support, but I saw it as an advantage for an escape tactic." He explained, looking down on me, a slight look of disgust in his eyes. My eyes widened. He was talking about Bumblebee. He had observed our relationship and saw it as a weakness he could exploit if needed to. And me running away from Bee, made it so much easier for him. 'I messed up.' I thought, closing my eyes, thinking back to when Ironhide died. "I know him well from the war on Cybertron. I know he would never risk hurting the ones he cares about." He was right, having me here gave the Autobots, especially Bumblebee, a huge disadvantage. Sentinel was playing dirty, plain and simple.
Even though I knew he could kill me at any given time, my sour mood wanted to push his buttons and get him on his nerves. "You are no Prime." I growled, glaring at him. This made him turn to me. "I am Sentinel Prime! One of the greatest Primes there has ever been!" He roared, pointing his sword at me. "You killed one of your comrades! You betrayed Optimus and you're pretty much destroying a planet! How does that make you a Prime!" I yelled, looking straight at him. He stalked towards, keeping his head high. "I thought the first and most important rule of the Primes was to not destroy planets with life on them. Isn't that what you're doing?" I took a deep breath, hoping to calm my nerves. "You're as rotten as The Fallen." I hissed. Sentinel grabbed me by the chains and pulled me up to meet his face. "Do not lecture me about what it means to be a Prime, human. It could very well be your end." He let go of me, making me fall, until the chain caught me again. Sentinel walked back and looked out on the pillars.
"Commencing transport." Sentinel ordered. Just as he was about to activate them, Optimus arrived. "Stop! No! No, no Sentinel!" He yelled, I could see the sorrow and panic in his optics. "Optimus!" I yelled, thrashing around in the chains. "(Y/N)!" Optimus looked between me and Sentinel. "Forgive me." Was all Sentinel said, before he activated the pillars. An electric field appeared and not long after, several Decepticons jumped out. They took off into the city. "Optimus! You have to stop him!" I screamed. I could hear several cars arrive and could only hope it was the rest of the Autobots. Optimus ran towards Sentinel, who also began to run, trying to create some distance from him. "Autobots, retreat!" Optimus commanded, making me look around as he disappeared.
If the Autobots were here, that meant Bumblebee was most likely here as well. "(Y/N)..-!" I heard Bee call from the radio, but these chains would let me turn around so I could look around. "Bumblebee!" I screamed, relief washing over me. Bee was finally in my line of view as he ran up to me. Happy tears gathered in my eyes as he got me down from the tree and loose from the chains. I threw myself around his neck, taking in a deep breath in hopes to stop myself from crying again. He laid his hand on my back and gently rubbed the upper part with his thumb. I suddenly stiffened, thinking back to Ironhide and how I avoided Bee on purpose to get to him. I carefully looked up at him. His optics were already looking at me. "How much trouble am I in?" I asked as quietly as I could, but still making sure he could hear me in all the chaos. I could feel him sigh as he looked ahead. "A lot..-." Was all he said as he lifted me up and carried me out of there. I frowned and hid my face in his chest.
Apparently, Bee had only been there to get me. Optimus wanted to confront Sentinel alone, and Sam had gone to make sure Carly was okay. The car ride back to NEST was quiet. Neither of us said anything. I didn't want to make him more upset, so keeping quiet was probably the best alternative. When we arrived at NEST, he drove us to a more quiet part of a separate hangar from the one Sentinel had destroyed. He stopped and I took that as my que to get out. Bumblebee transformed and turned to me. I just looked down on the ground, not wanting to meet his gaze. "There's a common..- shower area..- and..- some clothes for you..- further in..-." He said, I didn't look up at him, but nodded, showing him I was listening. "You..- can..- ask one..- of the guys there..- for help if you..- can't..- find the..- room..-. I'll wait for..- you here..-." He said, leaning his hands on his hips. I nodded and walked down the hallway. I asked someone for help and they happily helped me to the room Bee meant. There was a bench with some clothes consisting of underwear, pants, a plain t-shirt, a long sleeved shirt to go over and shoes. I grabbed them and headed to the shower.
Once I was done showering, I dried off, got dressed and headed back to Bee. I wasn't feeling ready to talk to him, knowing he was angry, but I knew it had to be done. I got out to the hangar. Bumblebee was leaning against one of the walls, arms crossed over his chest. His optics followed me as I walked over to him. I stopped once I was in front of him, but would still manage to look up at him, without having to bend backwards. I looked at him, who met me with a stern look, making me look away. He moved away from the wall, and started pacing back and forth. "Do you realize..- how dangerous..- your..- stunt..- was?" Bumblebee asked. I nodded, fiddling with the edge of my shirt. "Did..- you not..- understand I was trying..- to keep..- you safe?" He asked, still pacing. I nodded again. He stopped, turned to face me and crouched down, getting as close as he could to my eye level. "You could've died, (Y/N)." I slowly looked up at him.
We just stood there for a moment before he quickly scooped me up in his hands and brought me in for a hug. I was a bit surprised at first, but quickly recovered. I hugged him back, hiding my face in his neck. "I thought I had lost you..-." He spoke up, hugging me tighter. I frowned, feeling tears well up. "I'm sorry." I whispered. "When Ironhide fell, I just couldn't think straight. I didn't want him to die." I felt Bumblebee sigh. "I know. But you gotta remember to keep your head cool in those moments." Bumblebee moved me so he could look me in the eyes. "You need to understand..-; I lost..- a friend..- and a..- comrade..- I had known for years..-. He was like family..- to me..-. And he was..- killed..- by someone..- my..- mentor..- looked up..- to..-. If I..- had..- lost you too..-... I don't know what I..- would've done..-." Bumblebee explained, looking down. I felt a tear fall. He was right. I had put myself in danger without thinking about what could've happened to me. "I love you..-, (Y/N)..-. I don't..- want to..- lose..- you." A hiccup escaped my mouth. "I'm so sorry, Bee." I cried, drying my tears with my sleeves. Bee brought me back into a hug. "Just..- don't..- do something..- like..- that again..-, okay?" I nodded, sniffling. I calmed down and pushed away from him. Bee moved me back in front of his face. I got up on my toes and gave him a peck on his mouth piece. Bee brought me a bit closer, before he leaned his head against mine. "I love you, Bumblebee." I whispered, a small smile on my face.
