The girl lay there, on the ground, motionless. Slowly a crowd formed around her, staring down at her, shocked.
"If anyone tells any teachers about this, you're next..," she said, her eyes glaring. Then she walked off, cackling. All of the other teenagers didn't know what to do. They looked at each other, uncertain of how to handle the situation. They all slowly backed away. Eventually Scarlett was left there, on the ground, by herself. The bell rang for the start of school...

The wind was strong, blowing the leaves off trees and pushing rubbish across the playground. Scarlett's crimson hair blew in the wind, her chest only slightly moving, her arms and legs covered in bruises and goosebumps from the cold. Suddenly she shivered and her bright green eyes flashed open. She gasped for air and tried to push herself up to a seating position. But all she did was lay there, staring up at the darkening clouds in the sky. She sighed, why did it always happen to her? She felt a tear run down her face. Once again she tried to push herself up, then she dragged herself across the floor to lean on the gates. Using them for help, she pushed against the floor and tried to get on her feet. But her broken leg was too heavy. Scarlett dropped it to the floor and yelped in pain. Her arms ached, her legs ached, she couldn't talk or breathe. She started to sob, silently. No one could help her now. Now that she couldn't call out for help or even scream. She couldn't even whisper. Scarlett closed her eyes and let all her sadness and tears flow out of her. Suddenly she felt a gust of wind flow above her and heard the trotting of hooves just metres away from her...

Scarlett's POV
I opened my eyes, wondering what on earth was in front of me. As I wiped the tears away from my face, I saw a huge white creature standing in front of me. It's white hair waving in the wind. A circle of magic surrounding it, shimmering. Crystal! I smiled. I had never been so relieved to see my magical friend.
"Hey redhead!" he said. "What's the matter?". I pointed to my lips and mouth, then to my leg.
"I know you broke your leg and now you can't talk but what's really the matter? And what are you doing out here, on the floor, you should be in lessons?". I looked up at him. He stared at me for a second and eventually read my expression.
"Amanda!" he exclaimed. I nodded, sadly. He walked over to me and bent his head down. I held onto it and he slowly lifted me off the ground. Using his head as support, I hopped over to my crutches that were lying on the ground. I picked them up and put my arms in them. I smiled gratefully.
"Your welcome Scarlett," Crystal said. "Now what are we going to do about this Amanda girl?". He paced back and forth, thinking. I stood there, waiting to hear his idea.
"I've got it! All we need to do is............

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't updated in so long I've been busy at school but now that it's half term I will hopefully upload quite a lot. Also I am sorry about the cliffhanger, I just thought it was getting too long so had to end it there. Hope you enjoyed it and chapter 13 will come out soon.
