I ran. I could hear Crystal calling my name, but I ignored him. Branches hitting my face ; getting tangled in my hair. Leaves crunching under my feet, tree roots nearly tripping me up. The twigs on the ground snapped under the pressure of my stomping feet. The tree branches grabbing my clothes, like fingers and hands, dragging me back. Then I could see the light ahead of me, the light leading out to the rest of fantasy world. I reached it but I kept running. I had to get away from here. I needed to be alone. I ran down the winding paths, ducking under the low branches of fruit trees and trying to not step on anything or anyone. The more I ran the more creatures I saw nearby, coming out of their 'houses' to see what was happening. I could hear murmurs of "Why is Scarlett running away?" and " Is she leaving us already?" and "What's going on?" and "Don't leave us Scarlett!". But I kept running, no matter how much I loved fantasy world I wanted home, I needed home. I didn't belong in fantasy world. I no longer had my powers. I wasn't special anymore.
With tears in my eyes, I neared the edge of the island and my exit. I realised I hadn't thought about how I was actually going to get off the island. I had left Crystal in the forest. Just as I thought I was stuck and would have to wait for Crystal, I saw a beautiful hippogriff standing right by the water. I sprinted towards it and climbed on. I could hear Crystal behind me yelling to stop but I ignored him, whispered "Take me home!" in the hippogriff's ear and held on tight.
***
By the time I arrived home it was 4 o'clock so school had finished and I, luckily, wouldn't have to explain to my parents where I had been all day (if the cat eyes didn't tell them already). Carefully, I jumped from the hippogriff's back and walked down the path to the front door. I knocked three times and, to my surprise, Rosie and Poppy opened the door and greeted me with a hug. As I embraced them I forgot everything that had happened in the last 2 hours. The twins are my world. I could never leave them, no matter how hard I think my life is.
As I opened my eyes I saw Mum and became worried, again, about my eyes. I drew away from the twins and hurriedly went upstairs, mumbling something about needing to get some homework done. When I reached my bedroom, I
dropped my bag on the floor and grabbed my diary and began to write everything that had taken place today:Dear diary,
Today was probably the worst day of my life.
First Amanda pushes me to the ground and knocks me out, luckily Crystal came and saved me.
Then we went to fantasy world and attempted to get my voice back (this actually worked, so was the highlight of the day!)
Then in exchange for my voice the STUPID BOOK took my EYES AND CHANGED THEM INTO WEIRD YELLOWY CAT EYES AND MY POWERS!
I am now a useless waste of space with nothing special about me.
Plus Dad or Mum are bound to notice how my eyes have changed and Dad will be furious if he finds out that I went back to fantasy world.
So basically I AM DOOMED!

I'd just like to thank @pihutomlinson for giving me the suggestion that I am now going to use to finish off the story. Thanks to them I have everything planned out and I know what I want to happen in the story and I'm not just making it up as I go along! Anyway sorry for taking over a year to update but expect more updates soon as I am ready to write loads!! I hope you enjoyed Chapter 16!
