Andrew's P.O.V.
"You have continued to impress this label, and you have worked really hard. So they have agreed to put together a tour." says John, my manager. I look around at the other members of the band. I have been working my ass off for the past four years and all that work has paid off. I have my dream within my reach. A record has been recorded, and now they are offering a cross country tour. We'll be touring with other bands working for the label, and we definitely won't be headlining, but any step is a step in the right direction. "Thank you so much." I tell John as I shake his hand. The band and I sit through a meeting with how the tour will go. We will have over fifty shows, and while I'm not happy with only getting twenty percent of the profits, it's better than nothing. When we leave the record label Sandra, our drummer, offers to buy us all lunch to celebrate. We end up at In-N-Out, what, I never said she was rich. We order and have a seat. "How excited are you for your first tour Andy?" Ashley asks me. He is my bassist, and is one of the two oldest guys in the band. "I can't wait to get on the road." I reply "Maybe I'll finally meet my soul mate on this tour." Sandra says before shoving some fries in her mouth. "It's very possible," Ashley says, "I met mine when I was on tour with my last band." All this talk about soul mates makes me look at my own blue wrist. I never really thought about my soul mate growing up, I was too focused on my music. But with Ashley constantly flaunting his wife, and Sandra now bringing it up, I start to wonder too if I will meet her on this tour. It would even be a bonus if she was at one of the shows so that finding her would be even easier. "Earth to Andy" Jake says from across the table. "Huh?" I respond, being pulled from my thoughts of tour and my soul mate. "So is it safe to say that everyone but Ashley is thinking the same thing?" Jake says addressing the table. And one look at everyone confirms that we were doing just that.
One week later we are at the studio taking promotional photos with the other bands. Motionless in White is the headlining band, and their music is pretty cool. The other band is The Pretty Reckless, and can I just say their lead vocalist isn't bad to look at. I wouldn't of minded if she was my soul mate, and who knows, maybe if she hasn't found hers yet we can still have some fun on this tour. I'm not one to walk up to people, I hate social interaction, but I suck it up and walk over to her. I hold my hand out, "Hey, I'm Andy" I say. She smiles, and takes my hand, "Taylor" I happen to get a glance of her wrist and it's pink. So she hasn't found hers yet either. Sweet. "Hey, I was curious, did you want to get coffee or something?" I begin to fumble She giggles, but shakes her head yes. We get coffee, and I barely get to sit before she looks at me and say, "Listen Andy, I'm gonna set it straight." Oh great, I didn't even have a chance and I made a fool of myself for nothing. "I have a feeling we are gonna get close on this tour. We're two of the youngest ones, and you're quite the looker. But if I find my soul mate, whatever we do or don't do is over. And don't get all weird about it, cool?" Well I really wasn't expecting that. "Yea, sounds good to me. Same goes with me to you?" She holds her hand out to shake on it. Before we leave she hands me her phone to put my number in it. I do and she gets up to leave. I am feeling so pumped for this tour. I go to get up when I get a text. [2371 East Ave. Apartment 2. 5pm. ;)] Oh, so we starting now. Got it...
Author's note.
For those of you daft enough to not know who this band is when it's a fanfiction, and for those to lazy to look it up, here is what the band and Taylor from The Pretty Reckless look like...
Left to Right: Jinxx (Guitar/Violin), Sandra (Drums), Jake (Lead Guitar), Andy (Vocals), Ashley (Bassist)
The girl is obviously Taylor.
Also, for those that aren't daft, yes I know Ashley doesn't have a wife in real life. But in real life Andy doesn't hook up with Taylor or end up with a girl named Lilly, and we definitely don't have little hearts on our wrists pointing us to a destined soul mate. So don't come at me in the comments about my "inaccuracy", I am telling you in advance to kindly piss off. :)
