"Why are you late honey?" My mother asked me while doing the dishes.

"I just hung out with Xander." I went upstairs to take a shower.

While showering myself, I wondered about the old man and his factory. What is he up to? What's there inside the factory? Questions came running to me. But I didn't know the answers yet. I was determined to find the secret of this old fellow.

Next day I woke up late and didn't have time to eat my breakfast. I was in a hurry getting ready and almost forgot my ribbons and ran upstairs to grab them. On my way I managed to swallow the sandwich my mother handed me while I was hurrying to school.

"The princess is late." Xander said as I sat next to him in class.

The English teacher was on leave so, Mr. Fand was there giving us sheets of paper to write an essay about Nature.

I saw Tyler getting up from his seat and walking towards us. He sat down next to me.

"I saw both of you walking past your home, Amber. Where did you go?" He asked.

I was extremely shocked because nobody saw us or knew where we went yesterday. I was thinking of an answer but Xander interrupted me and said, "Oh, we went to see my Granny."

Luckily Xander's Granny lived in my street but not much far from our house.

"Ahh, I see. I was on my way to your house Amber, and then I saw you going with Xand." Tyler replied. "So, I headed back home and decided to meet you today."

"Is there anything that I can help you with?" I asked.

"Yes, I want to know if you can help me design a poster to pin at the library tomorrow."

"Tyler, of course, I'd like to do that, but I'm really sorry because, I promised Xander that I'd help him with his Math." I lied. I had to lie because I had many other plans about our discovery yesterday, and I didn't want anyone to ruin them.

"Ok, no worries. I'll ask Cassia." Tyler got up and walked back to his seat.

"He's annoying." Xander rolled his eyes.

"I know. That's why I had to lie. I don't want anyone ruining our plans."

We continued to write down our essays and handed them as the bell rang for recess.

"What now? Any plans today?" Xander asked as we sat down for lunch.

"I don't know. We have to discuss. I'll come by today. Let's talk more at your place." I told Xander and began to eat my lunch greedily.

Xander kept staring at me as I ate all the food in my box.

"If you aren't hungry, I'll finish these for you." I said while pointing at his untouched lunch.

"Noooo! I want them." Xander yelled and I laughed my heart out.

After school, Xander and I headed to his place. I called my mother to inform that I'm at Xander's.

Xander's sister was studying in the living roomas we headed upstairs. I said hello to her and joined Xander. We sat down inhis study, and began to talk.
