After finishing our biscuits, the officers decided to return back home.
“Mr. Gates and Mr. Miles, it’s better if we go now.”
“Yes sure.” My father replied.
My mother turned to Liza. “Thank you for saving my daughter. I owe you!”
“It was my duty, Mrs. Gates.” Liza replied. “Don’t forget to visit me!” She told me.
I hugged her. “I will!”

We left Liza after bidding farewell to her and her husband.

It was almost midnight when we got home. My parents advised me to rest in my room. Xander said goodbye and they left.
Within a few minutes, I was in my cozy pajamas and on my cozy bed.
“What a thrilling journey!” I thought.
It began to rain softly. And I opened the window and sat beside it, letting the rain kiss my face. I loved the feeling.
But something felt heavy in my heart.
“You shot him. He could have been killed.” My heart whispered.
And the worst thing is I lied about it. Xander did it for me.
Closing the window, I laid down to shake off the thoughts and sleep. But I couldn’t.
Different kinds of thoughts began to invade my mind and I was left with weird feelings.
“You didn’t kill him. It was his leg only. And that was a pure mistake.” My brain whispered.
I didn’t mean to shoot him. Yes, I didn’t.

Hours later, I woke up and realized it was 5 a.m. in the morning. I felt super hungry and rushed down to eat, after taking a hot shower.
“Good morning dr!” My mother was preparing breakfast.
“Good morning mom! I’m hungry!” I said.
“Here you go!” She handed me a plate of PB and J sandwiches. “So, are you going anywhere today?”
“No mom. But I want to visit Heather.”
“Oh fine.”

After helping myself with the sandwiches, I went upstairs to call Xander. But I forgot that I lost my phone at the factory.
“I hope my phone’s not broken. Oh god...” I thought.
Laying down on my bed, I began to think about the adventure I just finished, and how brave I was, to face a lunatic. Thinking more and more about that, I fell in to a deep sleep.

Hours later, my mother woke me up and told Xander was waiting for me downstairs. I got up and refreshed myself with water and headed downstairs.
“Oh finally! I thought princesses didn’t sleep until 11 a.m.” Xander told me.
“Well, now I’m not a princess. In fact, I’m a legend.” I told Xander, while posing like a superhero in front of him.
“Clap, clap, clap. Ha-ha.”
We both laughed.
“I thought of visiting Heather with you, but I fell asleep.” I yawned loudly.
“Let’s go now. And I want to taste a sweet baked chocolate pie from the café.” He said.
“Me too!”
We left to visit Heather.
