The quiet crickets that hopped in the scenery of spring was the only thing to be heard that afternoon. The only thing that interrupted it was the rumbling of a vehicle not far away.

"You ready?" Heizou was on the motorbike with his helmet on, ready to begin the trip. There behind him, holding on tightly and with her mask and helmet on for extra protection, Shinobu murmured something about not wanting to have the helmet she had on.

It was embarrassing to her, because they had matching cat ear helmets.

"You don't want to be matching?" Heizou looked back, not disappointed, he expected her to be conscious with the helmets on. Kuki thought he was a reckless driver too, so she probably didn't want to look reckless while wearing cat ears.

"I-I mean, it's cool, just not my style. It's also kind of tight." Shinobu tried to take it off but was struggling.

Heizou got off the motor bike and helped her get it off, softly touching the tips of her hair, he smiled, "Aww, it's a shame, I thought it made you look quite adorable~" you could tell he was teasing her but Shinobu couldn't help it but blush. She couldn't even see his sneaky expression because he still had his helmet on.

Shinkanoin then flicked her forehead and walked off to get different helmets. They'd made it a habit between the two to flick each other with their fingers, and Shinobu could now know how annoying it was.

As Kuki waited for him to come back, she took off her mask and exhaled. "This is our first time spending time together outside our jobs...and he said everything we're going to do is a surprise? Doesn't he still have exams? Ugh, Heizou is so spontaneous, but knowing him he'd figure it now. Is that the only thing that's worrying me...?" Shinobu seemed to unintentionally talk out loud.

"Kuki why are you...nervous...?" Shinobu questioned herself and thought about it.

"Nervous for what?" Heizou came back with different helmets, Shinobu immediately put on her mask when he came. "This one's my old one and I'll be wearing this helmet, don't worry, I'm good at riding. I know you rather skateboards and scooters or whatever, but this'll be fun. No need to be nervous. In fact, I can picture my girlfriend riding one in the future." He pretended to snap a photo with his fingers and grin. Then he leaned down to Shinobu, smiling as he was quite close to her and fit the helmet on her head.

"This one smells like your cologne, a lot." Shinobu the material of the helmet.

Heizou laughed a bit, but he was actually a little conscious of her, especially when she placed her hands on his shoulder once again. It made him vibrate a little, but he shook it off and decided to start the motorbike.

"Okay, now are you ready?" Heizou glanced back at her and smiled a little bit.

"I guess," Kuki shrugged and then Heizou took off, releasing smoke in the background.

The two of them were speeding past Heizou's estate, it was quite fast, as Kuki looked at the scenery surrounding her, it zoomed past ever so quickly, just like a blur and a mirage of photos. A little too fast for her liking. At some point Shinobu desperately held onto Shinkanoin's torso and squeezed tightly.

"Is something wrong?" Heizou blushed a little but didn't show he was embarrassed because he was focusing on the road and his helmet was shielding his expressions.

"Oh- uh, nothing-!" Before finishing her sentence she shrieked because they hit a bump on the road. Her fingers gripped onto him a little more and she hid her head against his back, pressing her eyes shut. The warmth from his back gives Shinobu a sense of security and support.
