Wrong Time, Wrong Place

Archeologist

Heading over to Pharaoh falls, Nick thought about his current situation. He didn't know why this is happening.

"I'm just a robloxian, how in the stars did the Star Saviour defeat Stratosfear? Was he that strong to defeat him, or was he just lucky? Stars, I might die trying"

He reached the location, it was really hot in Pharaoh falls. He didn't seem to mind the heat and moved forward. He stopped in his tracks when he saw what looked to be an archeologist. He recognized them. Nick stares blankly at them, catching their attention.

"Nicholas? Nick is that you?"

"It is me... Mister Kairo"

"I haven't seen you in years!" Kairo smiled. "How are you?"

"I'm alright, life's been a bit rough. Though everything's good so far- but I need to go out and gather some stars"

"Oh! You're collecting these?" He reaches into his bag, taking out a star.

"That's it! Can I have it?"

"Of course, but first, could you do me a favor?"

"Sure!"

"I'll let you explore around the desert for other stars. But, if you come across a strange artifact, give it to me and I'll give you this star"

"That's all I need to do?"

"Yes"

"Alright Mister Kairo, I'll go find that artifact for you"

"Thank you"

Nick smiles at him and proceeds, looking for stars. He stops by the edge of the elevated ground, observing.

"Wait this quicksand! How will I get around this place?"

He scanned the area for anything useful, he spots a round blue object not too far away. He approaches the object.

"Is this... A forcefield ball? The textbooks say it was a transparent blue orb, maybe I can use this?"

He picks up the forcefield ball, figuring out how to activate it. The forcefield suddenly activities, surrounding him in it's forcefield.

"Got it, will this let me walk on the sand?"

He carefully took a step forward into the sand. He did not sink, immediately breaking into a sprint. Using all the time he has in the forcefield to gather stars that he could see, whilst avoiding spikes and cactuses that could harm him. In his exploring, he came across the artifact and held it firmly as he sprinted around place to place. He returns to Kairo, out of breath.

"I got the... Artifact you- you were looking for- can I have the star now?"

"Wait! Slow down. Come, stay here with me for a while. Sit with me here near my tent"

Nick hesitated for a moment before nodding and sitting as told. Kairo takes the artifact in his arms, looking at it for a moment in silence.

"You know, we don't really talk that much. Yes, it's been years, but even then we never had to converse much"

"That's true"

"Last time I remembered we spoke, it was when I came to see my daughter in Maytown. You and Umbra were arguing and Mason had to intervene because I was there"

For a moment, Nick didn't say anything. He took a moment to try and recall the memory, he could only smile at Kairo.

"Heh, anyways why are you gathering those stars? Is it about what they called Stratosfear?"

"Yeah, Mason asked me a favor to unlock the gates around town, that's only acquired by gathering stars. We don't want Stratosfear getting his hands on these"

"Isn't that dangerous?"

"It is, but if our lives are at risk with that guy running around taking the stars, I know that if I die... It won't be in vain"

"So does this mean you're a Star Saviour then?"

"Hm, yeah. I like the ring to that, Star Saviour"

"It sounds heroic and all, but please stay safe, okay? You can go do these things, but make sure you're safe and alive. I wouldn't want to see your friends be devastated for your death"

"I promise I won't get harmed, as much as I want to make sure Maytown and it's people aren't harmed"

"Thank you, have you gotten all the stars here?"

"Yeah, I have. Do you know where I should go next?"

"Tropical isles, I'd suggest Sweet skies but they're still fixing the one form of transportation we have to going there"

"Oh yeah the- cannon?"

"Yeah, also why are you wearing these clothes, doesn't that get too hot especially out here in the desert?"

"I'll be fine, I'll make sure to go cool off before heading to Tropical isles"

"Alright, be careful out there okay?"

"Of course, you sound like you're my dad"

"Hah, well I care a lot about my daughter as I care about her friends. It gets lonely at her home place, being all about royalty and such"

"I just want to know how did you-"

"-Hey don't you have a town to save? Go out there and be the hero you are! Don't question about me and my family, thank you"

"Ah- alright, if you say so"

Kairo pulls Nick to stand up, and escorts him out of Pharaoh falls, telling him good luck one more time before parting ways.

"Well that was a bit of a personal question wasn't it? I should be more careful with that"

He shrugged and started walking over to the other side of town where the boats are, taking a ride to Tropical Isles.
