Wrong Time, Wrong Place

Frost

The cold air of the north hit the Saviour like a brick, he wasn't used to the cold. He carefully moved along the spinning snowflake, jumping onto the snow when he got close enough, to be greeted by the point that inhabited the world.

"Oh hello, so you're the Star Saviour?"

"Yes... I'm th-the Star Saviour"

"Hm. If you are to become a celestial hero, you must first prove your worth to me. I request that you seek out some stars before I fully test your skill."

"Al-Alright."

"Are you okay? Is it too cold for you?"

"Y-yeah... I'm not used to the cold, and I had to swim in Signol's aquarium"

"Ah, I see, then you certainly need this"

A jacket and a pair of gloves appeared in Compale's hands, he gives this to the Star Saviour, he puts it on.

"There, now that will help you stay warm. Though before you leave later, I may need those back, since you won't be needing them for the other worlds after mine"

"O-of course, thank you- uh"

"Compale, that is my name"

"Right, Compale. Th-thank you for this"

"You're welcome"

The Saviour smiled as he headed over to his left, he noticed the marble powerup in front of a sort of slide that went downward. Compale noticed the Saviour's confusion.

"If you haven't figured out it's function from Solgon's center, you're going to be rolling down that slide using that marble. Don't worry, there's a teleporter down there when you need to come back here"

"Ohhh! I see"

Compale's symbol flickered as the Saviour activated the marble powerup, watching him inside a marble, rolling down to a part of the world. He reaches the bottom and the marble dissipates, sending him onto the snow.

"Ouch- I got to get used to that eventually, it's not the only world I have to use that, isn't it?"

He shook his head and went to get stars, after what seemed to be a painfully slow process towards a star only accessible by using the marble powerup, he got back to Compale.

"How is being down there treating you, Saviour?"

"Terrible, the marble is hard to control"

"Oh you won't be liking some parts of later worlds then"

"It's fine- maybe I just need to get better at control"

"If you say so"

The Saviour nodded and headed over to the other direction, towards what appeared to be Santa's workshop.

"No way it's Santa's workshop! There's surely a star in there, it would be so cool to explore"

He ran towards the workshop and went inside, eyes widen at the sight of conveyers and conveyers of gifts moving around, he moved along the conveyers and explored. He finds stars within the workshop and carefully headed back, however he ends up being knocked off balanced by a gift in the conveyer, struggling to get back up.

"Stars- oh stars I don't want to have things end this way-" He gets picked up by Compale who moves him off the conveyer and onto the cold floor tiles.

"Dramatic much? Those conveyers aren't going to end you or anything, you'd be sent somewhere safe- since all these gifts should be stored until they're of use"

"Sorry- I mean bad things can happen to me, I'm just a human"

"True, but I do make sure that if you ever fall into danger in this world, I can teleport right there and get you out of it. Have you gotten all the stars yet?"

"I think I've gotten what I needed"

"Great, then a challenge course awaits you. Are you ready for it?"

"I'm ready. Bring it on"

Compale nodded and teleported the saviour into the challenge course, he carefully traversed through the slippery ice and snowflake platforms, making sure he doesn't fall. He soon reaches the end with the marble powerup, he finds himself in the middle of a floating arena, confused. Compale appears right before him.

"Ah, it appears that you have completed my challenge course. However, that will not be enough to truly win over my trust in your ability as the next star savior. You must prove yourself to me in combat."

"A fight?"

"Yes. Grab the purple Shooting Star when it appears in front of you. This will be your weapon in battle, which you can use by holding it and focusing on aiming it on the opponent and it'll shoot out stars. I wish you the best of luck."

"Wait, let me just give these back to you"

He took off the jacket and gloves and handed to Compale, the point disappears and the shooting star appears. The Saviour stared at it for a moment before grabbing it, starting the battle. Compale appears, ready to launch attacks and the Saviour prepared for what's to come. The Saviour almost barely dodged Compale's attacks, and struggled to use the shooting star. When he was able to figure out how it worked, he got hit by an attack, sending him to the ground.

"Agh-" he shook his head and quickly jumped back up, avoiding another attack and aiming his weapon at Compale, landing hits. This caused him to shift into his true form, sending more powerful waves of attacks onto the Saviour. The Saviour manages to defeat Compale at the end, collapsing to the floor after landing the final attack, dropping the shooting star.

"Saviour- are you okay?!"

"I'm fine... I'm.. I'm just exhausted"

"Get up, so I can at least take you back"

Compale helped the Saviour get up and teleported them back to the same area he stood on, the Saviour fell back to the snow.

"Wait- it's cold, you need a-"

"It's fine, I'll be out of here when I'm all rested up"

Compale's symbol flickered in concern, but let the Saviour be. After a while, he was able to sit upright, seemingly making a little snowman in the snow.

"What are you doing there...?"

"Making a little snowman, might as well do something with this snow"

"Get up, why make a small one when we could make a bigger one?"

"Fine by me" he got up and made a bigger snowman with Compale, they put a little tophat on it and he smiled.

"Now that looks great, so you have a little 'friend' next to you"

"Hm, sounds good. You should head back out now, Ploque's world id going to be- sort of challenging to get around in"

The Saviour nodded and went back to sky emporium, this time no one was around. He went to open the door to the next room.
