"I.... I needed some fresh air"
"Was the festival a little overwhelming? I'm sorry about that, I just wanted to uplift everyone's spirits-"
"No no, I'm fine. Y'know I just wanted to think a little bit about that thing"
"I don't know what to say about this, but if it helps, this may not be your life but even if you're not who I initially thought you are. You're still my friend, I can always be a friend of yours"
"Thanks... I never really had friends in my old life"
"Oh? Why's that?"
"I live somewhere away from people, somewhere in a forest, I don't mind it though. Not really the type to socialize too much, the people they knew me back at old home only see me as weak and useless"
"That's mean, why would they be so quick to cast you away for that?"
"I'm physically weak, I'm not supposed to carry out heavy and energy consuming tasks. But I do anyway, I can manage"
Mason looks at him with a worried look to which he looks over with a shrug.
"And I made you get those stars? I should've done that myself, oh my stars I'm so sorry-"
"It's alright, I'm fine with this. I've gained a tolerance to this, it's a miracle I defeated Stratosfear anyway"
"You need so much rest! The festival is ending soon anyway. Do you want to rest or do you want to talk"
"Talk, until maybe the festival fully packs up for the night then I'll go back home"
"Alright, let's settle at a bench somewhere shall we?"
"Yeah"
The two walk over to the nearest bench, alone with their thoughts and themselves.
"How do you handle such life of yours?"
"I don't really think of it much, loneliness feels like a friend to me. It feels nice to be here, it's hard to understand but I guess... This is a good experience on my part, for being deprived of having the feeling of someone to talk to"
"I see, how's Maytown then?"
"Seems great"
"What's Maytown like in your time period?"
"Uh"
"Well?"
"... Ruins, but I hear rumors that it became far greater than it was, we aren't sure where it went, all it left were the ruins"
"Oh... Is that a good thing though?"
"It is"
"Then I shouldn't be worried of this place being a failure to my father then"
"Don't think like that, I'm sure he's proud of you now. I'm surprised you handled being a mayor really well... Considering how young you were when you stepped into position and he..."
"Yeah... You may be not from here, but I know you have those memories, I am still sincerely sorry for what I said, I wasn't thinking clearly"
"You had the right to feel that way, it hurt so much. But I felt that leaving you was the right thing to do, for us- I needed time for myself as much as you do before things got worse"
"Well, you're here now. I can see you more again"
"Mhm"
"I think the festival is ending, we should go back and help wrap things up, unless you want to rest a bit"
