"One could not count the moons that shimmer on her roofs,
Or the thousand splendid suns that hide behind her walls"~Khaled Housseini
3rd Person POV
Two months. Exactly two months had passed since Jungkook's prompt proposal. At first he had planned to have the wedding take place the following week, but Jimin had stopped him and suggested that they should take their time in planning such a significant and treasured event in their life.
It was only until they had begun planning everything and acting upon it did they realise how long the procedure actually was. Weddings were not easy. Especially the things that lead up to it.
Both Jungkook and Jimin knew they wanted a simple wedding with a small guest list made up of their friends and family. However given their social status, keeping their marriage hidden from the public for the meantime grew to be immensely challenging.
It was hard enough when their relationship was announced to the media, with the stir it had ensued and the sudden crazed fans that went to any means necessary in order to catch a glimpse of the beautiful couple. However even that, wouldn't be anything in comparison to what would take place if they're marriage went public.
They had planned to announce their marriage to the rest of the world after their honeymoon.
Currently, both gentlemen were in their respective dressing rooms getting ready to walk down the aisle after having spent the last week apart. It was tradition passed on from the Jeon's family in which those to be wed would spend the final week before their wedding separated from one another.
Of course Jungkook had utterly dreaded and refused the idea, attempting to rationalise the absurdity of it. However the moment Jimin had uttered his liking to the tradition, Jungkook's attitude had taken a complete 180. Suddenly it seemed like it was the icing on the cake.
It was no surprise that the only reason Jungkook had switched up was because of Jimin. However now as he sat impatiently on his chair as the hairdresser finished spraying his hair in place, he began to contemplate the stupidity of his decisions and how he proceeded with their one week separation.
His fingers practically itched with the need to coil themselves around his lovers frame, his mind and body reeling with the thought of having him in his grasp, tight enough that all he could scent would be the delectable fragrance his lover possessed.
It was a torturous week to say the least, plagued with sleepless nights and a never ending headache. Not to mention the overbearing weight wedged uncomfortably in his chest that continuously made him feel out of place. Like something, was out of place.
It wasn't healthy to see the consequences of his attachment, how it brought along physical difficulties that he didn't realise would affect him to such degrees. It was something he knew he needed to work on, but for the meantime all he could think of was getting to see his groom walking down the aisle and how from that point onward, he'd get to spend forever with him.
"You seem way more anxious than the wedding rehearsal, Jungkook"
Jungkook didn't have the energy to glance in the direction of Namjoon as he took a seat next to him "I'm not sure if anxious is the right word, hyung. More like anticipation"
