"When i asked my son how his day was, he said it was awesome. I asked him what made it so awesome -- his response was 'because i wanted it to be.' "         - Tanya Niedzwiecki

Y/n pov

Thirty minutes ago i got a call saying that June wouldn't be able to make it to dinner because a client had called her. Life of a lawyer i guess. Another reason she got me to move here. Rachel and Sarah were only three at the time while Oliver was ten. Now the twins are six and Olli is twelve. He's actually in my class, i teach 7th and 9th. I'm also his coach, for soccer. It's fun. But even with everything good here, i can't help but regret it all as i'm standing in the kitchen cooking dinner for the kids. There is absolutely nothing bad here, no killers to search for, no fighting over small things like what movie to watch, but still with everything bad that was there, it was still better.

Hotch got me to think about it yesterday, i've been able to not think back to how my life used to be for almost eight months now. It would be good to at least visit them. See how JJ is doing as a mom, who's knew in Morgans life and what new books Reid have read. If Rossi has found wife number four have appeared in his life yet and ask Hotch how Jack is doing. But even if i wanted to, i'm not allowed back there. Strauss never liked me so of course she was thrilled when i quit but then also ordered me to never come back. 'Because it'd cause to much stress on the team' she had said, but we all know that it's because she personally doesn't want to see my face there. I'm pretty sure that none of them even know that.

See how i didn't think about seeing her, it's the one thing i can't think about because i know that if i do. I will go back and apologise for everything, hope for the best and see if she's managed to move on as i've told them i have. First time i said it was to Penelope, three months after i left. I know she told the rest as i got a call from JJ asking if i'm sure, i told her i was but i really wasn't. Even though it might have looked like it, i was wineglass that someone had dropped and couldn't find all the pieces to put it all together.

"I prefer not to have burnt sausage with my pasta" Oliver says, cutting of my thoughts. I've done that often, gotten lost in my thoughts. Since he had called at least.

"I'll burn them on purpose if you don't lose that attitude" i say with a breath that i know he hears, he hears everything. He doesn't say anything to that as i finish up. "Fetch your sisters will you"

"SARAH, RACH, DINNER" he calls out almost of the top of his lungs. I put the food on the table that he had put everything out. Even though their parents have a no-yelling rule, they break it a lot when it's only me. Which is quiet often. But it works as the girls come running down. Another rule, no running inside. Another rule they break.

"How was school?" i ask the three of them as we all have food on our plates and have started eating.

"It was great" Sarah begins to answer and props her mouth full of food. One would think no one has been feeding them, only me.

"Ms Averill is still home sick so we got to watch a movie instead" Rachel explains for her sister and she also digs in her food again.

"I heard an interesting thing today" Oliver starts and i look at him with the same smile.

"And what was that? If you're allowed to share"

"Axel told me that Mario had heard from Marissa that you told your class that your old boss called, the one from Quantico." And that is how news travel through high school these days. It was yesterday morning i got the call and this evening my own nephew is asking me if it's true. I didn't notice it but my smile had faltered. I wish i had taken some wine instead, but it's a school night and i'm in charge of three kids. Anthony is on a business trip to Paris to take some photos, he a photographer. A newlywed couple wanted pictures from their honeymoon, he took the photos of their wedding as well. But he'll be home tomorrow.
