Hazel's POV (Different then camera):
"What are you" I gulped as his grip tightened and he spoke. 'I cant tell him, he'll ask for more information but if i don't tel him, he could do something terr able to me.
"I-i-I'm a b-borrower" i cursed myself in my head for stuttering. At the sound of my voice his eyes lit up.
"What is a borrower?" He said almost innocently his intentions cold be good, but his face said otherwise.
"A b-borrower takes t-things that h-h-human beans w-wont m-m-miss"
"So you steal"
"N-no we only t-take things w-we need t-t-to survive" instead of answering he just gave a low grunt.
after what seemed like ages Lucas finally did something.
He snatched me up and began to stare intently at me.
"P-please let me go"

He let go of her and placed her down on the desk. Hazel breathed a sigh of relief and quickly scurried away, not daring to look back at Lucas. She didn't know what his intentions were, but she knew that she needed to be cautious around him.

As she made her way back to her home, she couldn't help but feel disappointed. She had been looking forward to meeting Lawrence in person, but instead she had run into his twin brother. She wondered if Lawrence knew about Lucas and if he was just as dangerous.

Hazel decided to stay away from the fishbowl for a while, not wanting to risk running into Lucas again. She spent her days borrowing items from around the house, trying to keep her mind off of the incident.

Days turned into weeks and Hazel had almost forgotten about Lawrence and Lucas. But one day, as she was borrowing a pencil from Mrs. McGreevy's office, she heard a faint knock on the window. She opened it to find Lawrence, holding a note that read "I'm sorry about my brother. I hope we can still be friends."

Hazel's heart lifted as she read the note. She realized that Lawrence had no idea about his brother's actions and that he truly wanted to be friends. She wrote a reply, telling him that she forgave him and that she was still interested in getting to know him.

From that day on, Lawrence and Hazel continued to write to each other and their friendship blossomed. Hazel learned that Lawrence was nothing like his twin brother and she was grateful for the day she fell into that fishbowl. She knew that without that accident, she never would have met Lawrence and her life would be forever changed.
