Benatar x Reader (insomnia comfort)

You glanced over at the clock
1:27am
It's so late yet so early
You're so tired but yet so wide awake

"why can't i just finally fall asleep..."
You whisper to yourself.
You shifted in your bunks and faced the other bunks.
Everyone but you seemed to be asleep.

It's not like this is the first time this has happened, it's almost an everyday thing.
You turned onto your side, facing away from the others and let out a sigh.

You took out your phone, plugged your headphones in, and put them on.
As you searched for a nice song to play, that could potentially help you fall asleep, you remembered that weird funny song Puff Puff wrote about not beeing able to sleep.

'Brain rave' he named it, you giggled a bit about it. But finally you landed on a nice song.
You laid your phone down next to you and just laid there listening to the musik, hoping that you could mabey fall asleep.

After about a minute you started shifting in your bunk again.

Laying on your left.
Laying on your right.
Laying on your back.
Laying on your stomach.

But no matter how you laid down you couldn't sleep. You turned to face away from the others to look at your phone.

You turned up the volume and chose another song to play.
Instead of Laying back down you started making a smal Playlist to listen to.

"It's 1:42am, why are you still up? Is something bothering you?"
It took you by surprise to hear someone talking to you at this time, especially since you couldn't hear foot steps or anything over your musik.

You stopped the music and took off your headphones, and turned to face the source of the voice.
"Oh, hey Benatar...I hope I didn't wake you."
You chuckled, surprised to see him.

"It's fine, don't worry. But why are your still awake?"
He sounded kind of concerned.
"If I knew, I'd tell ya man...I just can't sleep."
You layed back down on your back, facing up but still slightly looking at benatar.

"Is this the first time something like this hapened? Is there mabey anything I could do to help you, mabey make you a tee?"
Benatar sounded so genuine with wanting to help you.

"Well this happens pretty much every day. And so far I haven't found anything that helps, hell not even sleeping medicine does much!" You made sure to not raise your voice to much so that the others wouldn't be disturbed from their sleep.

"You should just go back to sleep Ben, I'll survive." You waved him off.
"...but I can't just let you suffer alone...that just wouldn't be right!.." You were slightly shocked at his voice. He sounded nervous and shaky, yet so sure and truthfull in his words.

For a few seconds you and Benatar just looked at each other.
Well it was more like you were staring at him while he was looking down at his feet.

You were pondering about what to do.
You couldn't just tell him to go back to sleep, he can be stubborn sometimes.
But you didn't want to get up for some Tee and talk to him, just becouse you couldn't sleep didn't mean he shouldn't sleep either.

After what must have been a few minutes you sighed, wich made Benatar look at you.
You sat up half way on your bed.
"Are you wearing socks?" You asked.
"What?...well yes I am, but why the sudden question?" Benatar replied.

You got out of your bunks and made your way to Benatars.
"Good, then the other atleast can't call us gay." You said taking his pillow and going back to your bunk.

Benatar was still just standing next to it looking dumbfounded while you layed back down and placed his pillow down next to yours.
You Held up the side of the blanket that faces Benatar.
"My pillows to smal to share, now hop in brit boy...it's getting cold." You mumbled the last part, blushing slightly and the Realisation of what you were Activly doing.

But you were way to tired to really care.

Benatar slowly layed down next to you.
You let the blanket fall down, now covering both of you.
You were both laying facing each other.
Face to face.
Only a few inches away from each others faces.
You could softly feel his breath on your skin.
You could feel your legs Touch slightly aswell.

"I-i hope this will help you fall asleep..?"
Benatar sounded as if he was carrying a Vase with his words, beeing carefully as not to break it.

"I-If you want me to, perhaps, created more space b-between us please tell me."
He asked, watching your face for any reaction.

"Or if i-i should mabey-"
You cut him off before he could continue.

"Just shut up already Ben..." you smiled pittyfully at him.
"Just relax Benatar, alright?"
You said carefully.

Benatar nodded and took a deep breath.
Closing his eyes and relaxing his muscles and then looking back at you.

"Aren't you almost falling out of the bed? That can't be comfortable to lay like that."
You asked Benatar.

"I don't wanna make you uncomfortable by beeing to close..." the blond whispers.
You just pulled him closer instead of answering.

Your legs were now laying between each others.
Your bodys almost touching.
Your faces even closer, only centimeters apart.

"Good night Benatar, and thank you..."
You said, closing your eyes.
To your surprise Benatar put his arm around you.
"Good night Y/N, and please remember that you can always wake me up if you are unable to sleep."

You both now layed there, cuddling.
Both with closed eyes.
Both with a slight smile on your faces.
Feeling the warmth of each others bodies.

You enjoyed this warm feeling.
You enjoyed not beeing alone.
Knowing that Benatar cared and wanted to help you sleep arranged a fuzzy warm feeling inside of you.

You felt so comfortable right now.
So happy and so warm.
You didn't even realize that Benatars plan had succeeded.
You had fallen asleep.

You were finally peacefully asleep, and also so very happy.

This is a little bit of a shorter one, sorry for that. Insomnia can be such a bitch sometimes so im sorry for anyone who suffer from it aswell. But Hey, At least we ain't suffering alone!
