because I've read her entire Revenge series, all the way up to Fame. It is truly amazing and while I was catching up with it I was always reading it. I spent about 3 days on the first book, 2 days on the part of the second book you were already stated on, then I caught up before you finished "Damaged" and I LOVED IT SO MUCH. Your writing is Amazing💖

I sat on the edge of my bed, starring at my half-packed bags. I smiled to myself remembering why they were there. Ocean City.
Ocean City, I loved ocean city, and I thought I had left that behind, moving down here. That was my second home. I loved it there.

(Yes, Ocean city is a real place, and everything I just said about it is true, I live in maryland, and that's what the beach a long most of the coast is called. I LOVE it there.)

We were leaving today, around 11, on a plane back up to Maryland, and then the day after we land, we were going on a road trip, in an RV. Since OC is only 2 hours from my old neighbor hood, and that isn't much of a road trip, we're gonna go all the way up to This beach in New Jersey, which would take about two days in the RV. (It's only about 4 hours irl but hay, imagination😂) then we would spend two nights in that beach, then go down to Rehoboth in Delaware for a night, then down to ocean City for the rest of the two weeks, then back to our neighborhood for a night, and then I leave the next day with Madi.

This was gonna be amazing.

I hopped out of bed, grabbed a random outfit, and jumped into the shower.

Jay's P.O.V

I was up earlier than everyone else. Probably cause I was used to it from when my dad comes home drunk and wanting to beat all of us. I usually get up even earlier to make sure my poor youngest sister is well hidden. Id rather it be me than her. I still felt bad that I had left my family, my brother, 3 sisters, and mom home with it, even though my older brother and my mom assured me they'd be ok, I knew they wouldn't. I almost didn't come because I wanted to make sure they were safe, I thought about all that this morning, but I was already fully ready, and everyone else was either just finishing up, or still in the shower.

I heard foot steps on the stairs and turned around to see Dani. She looked cute, but she wasn't all dressed up. "Hey." She said with a small laugh. I nodded to her. And motioned for her to come sit. She sat down next to me, and I put my arm around her, and turned the T.V on. "They know we have to leave in like a half n hour right?" I asked her. She laughed a little. "I hope so, I'll go check on them." She stood up, and rand up the stairs. I laughed to myself as I listened to her banging on everyone's doors. Someone came around the corner and I saw Dani's dad,
THE Andrew Lincoln
I had talked to him before, so I don't know why I still freak out when I see him. "Hey Mr. Lincoln!" I greeted. "Ah. Call me Andy, I don't like it when people call me that," he said with a growing smile. "Anyway, I'd like to talk to you about something." I nodded, telling him to continue without words. "Well, I've talked to your mom, and I asked if you could stay down here for a couple more weeks once the trip is over, and she said you could, and you're staying until close to the end of July, if that's ok? Oh, and Dani already knows, I've talked to her about it, and told her not to say anything, I wanted to catch you at the right time." My smile faded. "Are you ok?"
"Y-yeah. It's just."
I sighed
"Please, don't tell anyone I've told you this yet, not even Dani."
He nodded, and I began explaining my families situation to him. He nodded in understanding.
Dani's P.O.V
I had finished hurrying everyone along, and was starting to walk down stairs, when I heard my dad and Jay talking. I hid behind the corner and listened. My jaw dropped and my eyes widened a little. Jay's dad was a drunk abusive.

We were all sitting in the car, well, limo. My dad wouldn't be seeing me for a while he wanted everything to be fancy ok? And the radio was on loud, and we were all having a good time. I had pushed what I heard earlier back in my mind, considering I wasn't supposed to know anyway, and had fun. I'd talk to Jay about it during a better time. The limo stopped, we had all pretty much forgotten we were even going anywhere, so it took us a second to realize we weren't just at a red light.
We stepped out of the limo and grabbed our stuff. I smiled looking into the airport.

This is gonna be a great summer.
