I woke up in the morning my eyes all puffy from crying I felt so little again like I was back to the old me with no one but I wasn't I still had the whole gang and Johnny was going to be ok he was going to make it I walked into the Curtis house and saw ponyboy cooking "good morning pony" I said with a sigh "good morning y/n" I sat down when I heard the door open "anyone here" it was two bit and Steve "in here don't slam the door" the door still slammed "Y/N"two-bit and steve said walking up to me messing up my hair "good morning guys imma head home and shower see you later" I headed home grabbed fresh clothes that o definitely needed tossed dallys jacket in the washer forgetting I had it my parents were both out and at work so I was safe for now I turned on the shower not warm so it wouldn't burn my leg but not Butt clenching cold I got in feeling the water on my skin was amazing it ran threw my hair and there was less of it to wash now I hopped out the shower changed and headed back to the Curtis house "hey y/n me and ponyboy here are about to head to the hospital and visits Johnny and dally care to join" two bit said "of course I hope Johnnys ok" we walked towards the bus going to be just fine" I was trying so hard to hold it in "the doctor said I may never walk again I can't feel anything under the middle part of my back" ponyboy was crying and I just held his hand "it's ok Johnny you'll make it I swear" pony said "I use to talk about killing my-self and now I-im scared to die 16 years it ain't long enough maybe if there wasn't so much I hadn't done yet" Johnny was so in and out " don't talk like that Johnny your going to get to do a lot no quit crying or the doctors won't let us visit you again" pony said "Johnny you mothers here to see you" a doctor called out "I don't wanna see her" Johnny exclaimed "but she's your moth-" Johnny quickly cut her off "I said I don't wanna se ever she's just going to tell me about how happy the old man will be when I'm gone" and Johnny passed out me and pony were escorted out of the room two-bit handed the doctor the book and we went to go visit dally passing bye his mother "after all we've done for him this is how "fighting with a nurse shocker" I joked dally was in his tighty whities and it made me chuckle "my eyes are up here doll" I started blushing "the rumbles tonight dal" two-but said "hand me your switch blade would ya" two-but handed him the blade and dally was very upset "we'll stomp those socs let's do it for Johnny" he said in a growly voice i liked it we walked out and headed back to the Curtis house and veryone was getting ready for the big rumble they almost didn't let me participate which was weird they actually cared I guess I needed to get use to that but after a while of convincing saying me and ponyboy would just take on the e smaller ones together Darry allowed it we ran out the house everyone chanting about stomping the socs and they were doing acrobatics the most o could do was a cartwheel so I did that and when we got there Darry and some guy named Paul did a lot of talking then dally got punched so it began this guy was digging on pony so I jumped on his back putting him in a chokehold causing him to fall back and I punched him in the nose so hard I watched dally flip a guy and WOH my heart skipped a beat am I falling for Dallas Winston NO no way I know who he is nows not the time I got back to fighting elbowing a guy in the face and kicking another in the balls then the socs ran everyone was cheering about the win I was covered in mud from all the slipping and being slammed on the floor me and ponyboy got up and ran towards dally we headed towards his car Dallas was speeding towards the hospital a cop pulled us over "why are you speeding"the cop asked "my friend isn't doing to good I need to get him to the hospital" the cops just started then walked away and we zoomed off when we got to the hospital dally pulled a knife in the doctor refusing to let us in "I'm letting you guys in not becuase your friend pulled a knife on me but because he's keeps asking for you guys" we rushed over to his room and sat next to him tears filled my eyes "hey johnnycake" my eyes filling with tears "we won Johnny and there still writhing editorials about you" dally said through a tearful smile I just stood behind him holding his hand and he didn't even push me away I could tell he needed it "the fighting won't change anything the win does nothing greasers are still greasers and socs are still socs" "y/n tell him how you feel" I looked at him shocked not knowing he knew "stay gold ponyboy stay gold" Johnny laid there lifeless dally was crying and pony just walked out I was holding dally as he cried into my shoulder no one knew but I bought an apartment today and I got the keys and so I offered to drive and we headed there dally was a wreck and I didn't let him go on his own in fear he would do something stupid so he slept in one room and the apartment had two rooms so I slept In the other slipping off my clothes and changing silently sobbing and falling asleep everything felt so surreal
