Third Person POV

"We have a whole month to perfect our act," Tae did his best to make his voice sound persuasive to a doubtful Tee who just sat across from him, not saying a word but just staring at him with a deep frown on his face.

Tae patiently waited for Tee to say something.

When Tee finally spoke up, Tae's heart plummeted.

"I don't wanna do it," Tee declared firmly.

"But there's nothing to lose," Tae tried to make a last ditch effort to convince his best friend to join the No-Kiss Challenge of the Sawatmaneekul Entertainment Company.

"What do you mean by there's nothing to lose?" Tee said, starting to lose his patience now. "Time! That's what we're going to lose! We're going to lose six months of our lives! Have you forgotten the saying that time is gold, time is money?"

"I promise you, it won't be a waste of time," Tae insisted, grabbing one of Tee's hand that was resting lightly on the table. "We have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Thirty Million Bahts to be exact. Like I said, we have a whole month to perfect our act. I believe that one month is more than enough time to practice being boyfriends, being sweethearts, being a real couple."

"What?" Tae added, when he saw Tee shaking his head vigorously.

"I still don't want to do it," Tee said, looking away from Tae's intense stare.

There was no way that Tee would go along with Tae's plan of being his make believe boyfriend. It would hurt Tee too much. Already he was having a hard time hiding the fact from Tae that his feelings for him went beyond brotherly love or friendly affection.

"Come on, Tee," Tae was still doing his darndest to make Tee go along with his plan. "There is so much we can do with Thirty Million Bahts! We can start a business together with that kind of money, don't you see?"

'Oh, Tae,' Tee was silently saying in his heart. 'All you think about is the money to gain from this challenge. But the money at stake is not enough to compensate for the excruciating hellish pain that will remain in my system for the rest of my life.'

"I'm not interested in starting a business with you," Tee said gloomily. "I'm content with the small business enterprise that I currently have. I don't want anything to complicate my life right now."

Tae heaved out a loud sigh as he saw all his plans going down the drain.

Tae had hoped that the time he and Tae would spend practicing to be a real couple would pave the way for him to eventually confess his feelings for Tee. He had been holding back his real feelings for Tee because he could see that Tee looked upon him as nothing but an older brother, a close friend, someone whom Tee could turn to whenever he needed help for anything, anything at all. He could see that Tee looked upon him as a trusted and dependable friend. More than that was something he could only hope for, in vain.

Then an idea came to Tae.

"How about, instead of a month, why don't we give ourselves just one day to try," Tae said, his heart now pumping hard against his chest. "Just this day. If at the end of this day you think it's not gonna work then we will scrap our plan."

Tee looked down at his hand that was being squeezed tightly by Tae as Tae tried to pitch his idea once more.

Then Tee slowly raised his face to look directly into Tae's eyes.

"Alright, let's do it," said Tee.

Tae jumped out of his chair and rushed around the table to lift Tee from his chair, spinning him around and around in his arms, making the other customers in the breakfast diner look up from their food to stare curiously at the couple. Had one of them just proposed marriage and did the other one accept the proposal? Holy mackerel!

Then suddenly one of the customers started chanting, "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"

In a second, all the other customers joined in.

"Kiss!   Kiss!   Kiss!  Kiss!  Kiss!"
