Chapter 5
After a great night sleep, I woke up at sunrise and Brax was still asleep. None of the humans were awake yet so I decided to have some breakfast.
As I was eating, the sun was coming up more and the birds were chirping. Brax was stirring so I put a piece of apple under his nose. He woke up and chewed quietly on the apple.
"How did you sleep?" I asked him. "Good, I suppose since it was our first night here." He said yawning. "What about you?" He said in a mouthful of food. "Alright. I'm not homesick anymore." I said proudly. He smiled at me and we both laughed.
I heard some foot steps and then I saw Cheyenne leaning over the box. She picked me up and said, "I thought of names for you guys!" I completely forgot that she had to name us! I wanted to keep my name and I know Brax did to. She smiled then said to me, "You are Fleebe!" I was so happy I got to keep my name! She then looked at Brax, "And you are Brax!" Yay! We both got to keep our names!
After the humans had their breakfast we were taken outside. There was more grass plus we where in a different spot. I was eating some grass when I stumbled across a little white bowl with a clear liquid in it. "Brax come look at this!" I was curious of it.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw one of bigger guineas come to my cage. "Hello there! Incase you're wondering, its water. You just put your paws on the side and drink it!" It was the orange one. "Thanks and by the way what's your name?" She smiled at me and said "Cheeky."
After I drank some yummy water and talked to Cheeky some more, I decided to introduce Brax to this lovely guinea. "Brax! I want you to meet someone!" Brax can sometimes be shy meeting new people but after 5 minutes he's fine. Brax waddled over slowly and said "Hello" quietly.
We were all laughing and talking and became friends right away! We told her about where we came from and she told us about what it's like here.
"Cheyenne is so nice! She's lovely and sweet and cares for each and everyone of us!" I was glad to hear that news!
The two little Guineas were glaring at us again whilst the bigger Guinea pig was smiling at us.
Then all of a sudden, the two little guineas walked over with the big one following behind.
