Chapter 19

Lulu looked like she was going to say something, but then stopped herself. Everyone was looking at Lulu, waiting for an answer including Chev.

"I think Lulu and I need to talk. We'll get back to you later." Chev said calmly. They walked away and 3 hours later they still hadn't come back.

So I then starting pacing from one side of the cage, to the other. "What if they say no? What if they don't tell me the issue and we can never become friends? What if-" Brax stopped me.

He put a comforting paw around me and said "Look, you need to stop stressing. They need some time to think if they want to consider this. You might not understand but, they might have something personal against this and we have to accept that."

I understood and nibbled on some grass. What were they going to say?

Lulu's POV

Chev had taken me into the hutch. "What am I supposed to say? I mean they're being so nice and what am I suppose to do? Say 'yeah! Let's be besties and put everything in the past!' ?"

"Actually, that's a great idea! I know it's hard because today is the anniversary but, maybe that's what they wanted for us. To move on." Chev pointed out.

After going back and forth on this topic, I saw the sun setting and knew it was time to get ready for bed.

Panda came into the hutch and found a corner to rest in. "So, how was your day?" Panda asked. Everyday since Cheeky moved in with her babies, Panda took the role of recapping our days and if we could make tomorrow a better day and stuff like that.

We went over a few things, then we went to sleep. Or at least, I tried to sleep. Chev is a snorer and I was stressed about being friends with Fleebe and Brax. In the morning I finally fell asleep.

What anniversary?
