Chapter 9

What were these two guinea pigs up to? I was sick and tired of those two playing games that I don't want to play. Then, Lulu said the unthinkable

"You're Brax aren't you?" She pointed at Brax. "Yes I am." He said. "Well I heard the humans say that they are going to sell you. You do know that they only got you two for breeding, right?"

I was so mad at Lulu and I didn't show any sign of hiding it. "Lulu! That is so rude! The humans did not get Brax for breeding and I wish you wouldn't be so rude to us!" I raised my voice a little, not knowing I had that in me.

Lulu looked shocked as if she wasn't expecting me to say that either. I looked at Brax, he was just about crying. "Brax and I are going upstairs. We'll talk in a few minutes." Then we rushed upstairs.

"Brax! Brax! It's ok, she was just trying to make us upset. The humans would never do that. Remember what Daisy and Alvin said, once you're in a home, you never leave that home."

Brax was still upset and it took a few more minutes to calm him down. "Do you want to go down stairs?" Brax nodded and slowly walked down the ramp. When we got down stairs, Lulu and Chev were gone.

"Where is Lulu and Chev?" I asked. I hoped that they would stop teasing
Brax and I. "They went back in the hutch." Then Cheeky looked at Brax, "Are you ok? That was very rude of them to say." Brax nodded in agreement.

I looked over at Panda, I always tried to add her in the conversation but she never said much. "So Panda, how was-" I was cut off by Lulu. "Hello, did you finally decide to come down?" I looked down because I felt a little guilty for yelling at her.

Chev and Lulu talked for a few more minutes, but when no one replied they walked away. Then Panda asked "Cheeky should you tell them about the ... You know what?" I was confused and Cheeky said "Maybe tomorrow because it's not definite."

I was about to question further when I heard footsteps. It was Cheyenne! She was back from school. "Hey Cheeky and Panda!" Then she held Cheeky for a second and I couldn't quite hear what she said to her. Then Cheyenne put Cheeky and Panda into their hutch with Chev and Lulu. "C'mon little bubbas! Time for you to go beddy byes!"
