Chapter 8

I woke up very early which was a rare thing to happen. I glanced over at Brax, he was still asleep, smiling. I always wondered what he smiled at. It was still dark outside and then I heard snoring. "Really?" I whispered.

I then remembered what happened yesterday with Lulu and Chev and the movie. I set a goal today, to try and be friends with Lulu and Chev.

It was an hour before it started to become light and the snoring drifted off slowly. I wondered how long it was until the humans would wake up. Then I heard a loud everlasting beeping noise. "Beep! Beep! Beep!" Brax jumped and woke up quickly.

The humans woke up and they all came into the lounge room for about 5 minutes. Once the humans ate their breakfast, Cheyenne took us outside. She kissed me on the head and said, "I'll be back in 6 hours because I have school! But I'll see you soon." Then she did the same thing to Brax.

I munched on some grass and drank some water and then Cheeky and Panda came over. "Cheeky! Panda! How are you?" I said excitingly. They giggled and then Lulu and Chev came over.

"Hello did you have a good sleep?" Lulu said sweetly, too sweetly. It was forced, all too fake. "Good. How was yours?" Lulu was ready this time, she wasn't put off like yesterday, she had practised. "It was great! I got to see the gorgeous sun set and talk to Chev -"

She was about to finish when Chev nudged her. We were all confused and we were all staring at them. "Well, um, how was your, um, break-, yeah, breakfast?" Now we were even more confused. Then Chev did a fake forced laugh.

Brax, Cheeky, Panda and I all looked at each other. What was going on?
