The next portal took us to the set from Jailhouse Rock, but there was no one else there except us. Everything was in black and white, there was no colour at all. Leah gasped in delight, "Oh! I've always loved this movie!" "People say this was my best film," I chuckled. The music of the Jailhouse Rock song started to play. I looked at Leah and smiled, "Leah can you do this?" I started to shake my hips and do that dance I did in the movie. "I've seen this movie a million times and I think I know the dance pretty well," She laughed, copying my moves. "Hey! You're almost as good as me!" I giggled. "Won't you sing for me," Leah offered. "Don't mind if I do!" I laughed. She clapped her hands and snapped her fingers as I sang,
"Let's rock!
Everybody, let's rock!
Everybody in the whole cell block was dancin' to the jailhouse rock!"
The music came to an end. Leah applauded, "Wooh! That was awesome!" "Thank ya very much," I chuckled. "Why don't you try singing?" I offered. Leah looked down, "I've given up on singing." "Why?" I asked. "I don't know...when I was a kid I wanted to be a singer just like you, it was my dream...but my father told me I'd never make it," she sighed, "But it's too late now...I'm pretty sure everyone thinks I'm dead now." "There's still hope, it's never too late to pursue your dreams," I said.
"I guess," Leah gave a little smile. "Why don't you just give it a try? And I mean real singing, not any of that heavy metal screaming crap," I chuckled. Leah took a deep breath, "Alright." She closed her eyes and started to sing,
"Wise men say only fools rush in,
But I can't help falling in love with you...
Shall I stay, would it be a sin?
If I can't help falling in love with you...
Like a river flows, surely to the sea,
Darling so it goes, somethings are meant to be...
Take my hand, take my whole life to...
For I can't help falling in love with you."
Her voice was sweet and lovely, yet it had a slightly sad mysterious tone about it. "Oh darling that was beautiful," I said, wiping my eyes. "Yeah, yeah whatever," she rolled her eyes playfully. The next portal opened up in the wall, "Look," I gasped. "Well...I guess we should go in," she shrugged. We stepped in, the portal took us back to Graceland.
We were in the main living room. There was a TV, Leah grabbed the remote and turned it on. "Look, Elvis, Jailhouse Rock is on," she smiled. I sat down next to her on the floor in front of the TV, with my arms around her. We watched for a few minutes until the television screen started to glitch, the audio became distorted and incoherent. I heard thunder rumbling and heavy rain pouring from outside, "Listen," Leah said quietly, "It's storming." I looked around, suddenly the TV switched off and the lights burned out.
I gasped and held onto Leah. "It's alright...it's just a storm..shhh," Leah whispered, stroking my hair. I heard the faint sound of footsteps off in the distance, I looked up and gasped, "D-did you hear that?" "Yeah," she replied, "But we're not afraid, okay? It's just Priscilla trying to get inside our heads." I nodded and laid my head back down on Leah's lap. The footsteps started to get louder as they approached us. I gulped and closed my eyes, holding onto Leah tighter now. Leah's eyes widened with fear, she tried to stay calm. The whole place was dead silent...it was unsettling.
"We meet again," I heard a familiar voice say. "P-Parker!?" I cried, sitting straight up. "Hello, my boy, did you enjoy murdering me? I've often felt that you've been waiting for that opportunity your entire life." "W-where are you? Show yourself," I gulped. "Perhaps I'm not really here...maybe I'm only a figment of your imagination," he said "Leah can hear you. Can't you, Leah?" I asked. "Yes," she nodded quietly.
"Haha...you two know nothing," he cackled. He picked up a marker and a flashlight. We couldn't see him, so it looked like the objects he held were floating. He shined the flashlight on the wall while he wrote, 'I still have power over you,' he dropped the marker and the flashlight and the power came back on. "Don't let him get in your head...he's just trying to scare you," Leah said. I bit my lip and nodded.
Leah tried to turn the TV back on, "The wires must be fried or something." I looked up when I heard a strange whooshing sound coming from the ceiling, "Look Leah there's a portal in the ceiling." The portal spun around and around, it sucked us up inside.
